NTXshooter Report post Posted August 3, 2014 The Form 4 for my suppressor was filed on paper about a month ago. I just filed the Form1 for my SBR electronically. Now it's a race to see which is approved first.

Rsquared Report post Posted August 5, 2014 Good luck. Hope you're ready for the "turtle" portion of that race. That's the hardest part. Waiting..............waiting..................waiting.............
NTXshooter Report post Posted August 5, 2014 Yea, I am not normally a patient person. It's going to get worse as it gets into the fall.
Magwa Report post Posted August 6, 2014 My last Suppressor was 8 months 10 days from start to finish I think it is going to get faster.....
Rsquared Report post Posted August 6, 2014 Just for the record (not to depress you)....I've got 2 Form-1's that I've been waiting for since February.
NTXshooter Report post Posted August 8, 2014 Were they filed electronically or on paper? That's going to be real depressing if you did it electronically. I figured that one would come in quicker and building the SBR would take my mind off of the suppressor:(
Rsquared Report post Posted August 8, 2014 Both on paper. So there may be hope for you. I've heard of some guys getting the stamp only after 3 or 4 months after filing electronically.
NTXshooter Report post Posted August 22, 2014 (edited) And electronic wins! Just got the email saying my SBR is approved. That took about a month. Totally unexpected. Edited August 22, 2014 by NTXshooter

98Z5V Report post Posted August 23, 2014 Holy $HIT! I've never, ever seen a stamp only take a little over a month! :ugone2far: :hail:
Rsquared Report post Posted August 23, 2014 I'm in disbelief. I've never heard of a month to process anything. All of mine took 6 months or more. Congrats my man! Welcome to the Class III club.
Magwa Report post Posted August 23, 2014 That is total BULL $hit! how could one be faster than the other? other than mail time?.... Hmmmm something is rotten in Denmark and it ain't the fish.... when the info is there is should take the same amount of time..... there must be more to this than meets the eye but in any regard CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! enjoy . Is this the way to get people to quit using a trust? well speed is cool but I am sticking with my trust as the whole point for me is to have a way to pass on my firearms all in one collection.... wow one month.... awesome.. Oh I am still waiting ... lol
edgecrusher Report post Posted August 23, 2014 Me too buddy, but I'm already salivating at this! Interested in seeing how long it takes to get stamp in hand, or if this is the same as them cashing the check, and then you continue to wait....
NTXshooter Report post Posted August 23, 2014 This is to advise you that the status of your eForms submission with the subject Permit/Control number has changed to APPROVED I know , I was expecting at least 3 months. I did it through a trust but I still can't believe it. I am out of town so I can't log in to see what else they but I will find out tomorrow night when I get home. 392heminut Report post Posted August 24, 2014 Some of the guys over at 300blktalk.com are reporting 3 weeks now! :ugone2far:
edgecrusher Report post Posted August 24, 2014 But is this stamp in hand or yes we are cashing and approving now start your wait.... Because it wasn't long for that with the written form for me, still no stamp yet
392heminut Report post Posted August 24, 2014 The way they are talking over there it's 3 weeks from filing to email notification of approval. I've never done an SBR but I get the impression that once they've gotten the email notification they can go ahead and assemble the SBR.
edgecrusher Report post Posted August 24, 2014 No way! Stamp must be in hand I believe
NTXshooter Report post Posted August 24, 2014 They already cashed the check. The status changed from "Processing" to "Approved". We'll see how long it takes to get the stamp. At least I can get the lower engraved and start purchasing the rest of the parts.
Rsquared Report post Posted August 24, 2014 I'm with Greg on this one. Don't assemble anything until you have the stamp in your possession. Just in case.
Magwa Report post Posted August 24, 2014 that would be correct wait till you have stamp in hand.....
392heminut Report post Posted August 24, 2014 I'm not even building an SBR. I decided to go with a pistol build with the Sig SB-15 brace, it's a whole lot less hassle and I like the way my son's pistol turned out.
