edgecrusher
Welcome. If your going to build, and plan on using all DPMS parts, why not just buy a complete rifle? You'll get a warrantee with it. The receivers are generally what dictate what the build is called. It's really not a big deal, people generally pick out parts they want and assemble. It's normal when building, and actually the reason people primarily do it. It's also a pattern. There is no mil spec on these large frame AR'S, and you will need to pick out a pattern and coordinating parts. Armalite is the ar10 pattern, DPMS/sr-25 is a the lr308 pattern (heh, mostly), then there is rock river which uses there own (and FAL mags)

graywolf70
Ok ,maybe I did not state my question properly, looking at a you tube build of a lr308 using Fulton armory parts is it still a dpms 308?
Rsquared
Yeah. It is. DPMS (also the SR25) is considered a pattern (AR308) of these type of rifles (even though DPMS is a manufacture). Welcome aboard gray.
98Z5V
Ok ,maybe I did not state my question properly, looking at a you tube build of a lr308 using Fulton armory parts is it still a dpms 308? If it's ALL Fulton Armory parts, then just call is the Fulton FAR-308, or the Fulton Armory Titan. Same thing. It's 100% DPMS-based, completely, even when it come directly from Fulton Armory as a full rifle.

masterCylinder
I just went through this dilemma, and after hours upon hours of page surfing, cross reverencing, and dreaming. I ordered a DPMS-G2SASS aside from the Barrel length, its want I was headed towards, and rather then have parts laying around I bit the bullet and shelled out the cash.
