I'd also go for something with microserrations on the face of the rear.  Makes sight acquisition much easier.  I highly recommend the Dawson Precision Charger rear sight, and a tritium or fiberoptic front.  DP will install tritium vials in the rear sight for an extra charge if you want.  I had that done to both my PPQ's.  10-8 also makes superb sights.

^^^ That's what I eventually will do to mine also.XDm and Scorpion.

Those XD/XDm sights are a BYTCH to get off!  Especially that front.  If you have the means, grind some steel a bit smaller than the dovetail and use an arbor press to push it out.

Because you can't use the front edge of the rear sight to perform a one handed slide rack.

^^^  There it is.  The answer.  <thumbsup>

I've got XS 24/7 big dot sights on my Glock 23 EDC. Really quick target acquisition day or night. They're not intended for long range target shooting, but for self defense purposes I think they're awesome.

Be use the don have a nice ledge to rack the slide of anything your imagination can think of?

The bad labeled sights are for concealed carrie & can reduce snagging on clothing & such , same with ramped front sights . they may be bad for one thing & good for another , always a give & take on some things .

A good target sight may not be the best option for concealment .
