  1. Or it allows the Case to stay aligned during the Sizing process , maybe an locked in case stretches differently . Hard to tell & Maybe I will make a set up to test for Case concentricity, I'm not going to purchase one for a couple Cases , I have Dial indicators & bases & can use one of the other Case Trimmers I have . I do know this , them LC stretch a bunch , compared to the Match & commercial , nothing any of us didn't know already .
  2. Sized a bunch of 308 brass today , half once fired Match ( thanks Drew ) & some once fired commercial & about ten once fired LC ( probably from a Belt fed ? ) I noticed one thing right when I got to the LC , that I hadn't tightened the Press handle lock nut sufficiently , it loosened up first LC I tried to size . If you look at the Handle , it kicks off to one side or the other , which ever way you want to index it . I tightened the nut up again & had no further issues with it for the rest of the sizing process . It sure is strange inserting the case in that floating Shell Holder , not used to the thing moving around , but seems to work pretty good . I have not figured out how to see exactly why the two presses size the cases differently , its so consistent in how one stretches the Case more & at the same time is really not much . Kinda reminds me of the difference in what a Small Base Sizing Die does in comparison to a Full Length Sizing Die . Except here its the same Die & Shell Holder & press set up , just different Presses , maybe it just because the MEC is new ? . I will be comparing loads between the two presses , not that I think there will be anything thats going to jump out at me , but ya never know . I can tell you this , I like this Press so far .
  3. Among other things , I'm sure.
  4. Strike Industries Port doors are all I use any more . Doubt they will scratch the paint , but if your worried , just don't install one . Some Upper's now a days don't even have attachment points for them .
  5. Some weigh more then other's .
  6. http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/01/06/5885012/
  7. five dead , eight wounded & some critical , Gov. Scott speaking now . Funny he said he contacted & talked to Trump & Pence , but said nothing about contacting Butthead
  8. Canada said no one on their flights by that name & no one checked a firearm into luggage from there . All still sketchy , will wait awhile to let them sort it out . Estibon Santiago , not sure of the spelling .
  9. Hope the best for him & he gets through this , I wondered why I didn't hear from him ,was just about to call .
  10. I posted that link in the "Start Tweaking or what" thread in this section & its a good article to be pined .
  11. Welcome . Ya the big bores seem to feel like your really shooting something with power .
  12. Should of had a different Part # ,only Cabela's knows Cabela's . The Disassembly & Pivot Pins & Bolt Stop are different & some Manufacturers have the Disassembly Pin Detent Spring in the same place as an AR 15 & the difference in size of the Lower Receivers make the normal Detent Spring too short.
  13. Didn't 98 work out something for his ? There was a thread somewhere around here on it , he did several things & I think he fixed the issue . Is this about the Lancer Mag's ?
  14. She probably smells like a Beirut massacre !
  15. Just enough to make it different for the lawyers .
  16. Upper Receiver & Hand Guard look familiar , no Dust Cover ,but looks like it will take one . Whats with the Gap at near the end of the Rail ? Adj.gas Block ?
  17. Wonder where this Modular FCG fits in with the Law Suite by Mossberg on behalf of CMC . Are The differences made into it , make it immune from it ? Not much different then the Rough Justice . Any ideas ?
  18. It rained all day over here in St Augustine , but nice & warm . I need to look at the four ten rounders I have .
  19. Lancer Mag, good move . Good looking Rifle .
  20. There is probably more to this story then we are getting.
  21. Trigger has a consistent 4 # pull , with what I think is a lot of Creep , but it acts like a two stage & when it drops , its clean . Very good looking Trigger system, clean Finnish on components . I installed it in my Tactical Machining 300 BLK build , its the only one I had left with the STD FCG & it was about normal for one , lot of scratchy creep & never know where it drops . This Modular FCG has a Skeletal Trigger & lightened Hammer , so not sure how it will ignite the hard foreign Primers , but I don't shoot that stuff anyway , so as long as it pop's mt Hand Loads , I'm good with it . Looks like two set or some kind of adj. screws , one on the Trigger & one that is sealed on the Disconnector . I found this object on the tail of the Trigger , when I removed the MilSpec . Really don't think that spent Primer , with out its Anvil is a good thing to have in there
  22. STD MiSpec FCG , minus the Pins, weighed 2.3 oz. , so as far as the Modular FCG I just got made by James Madison Tactical, the weight difference is what, 0.1 oz. , not worth thinking about . Not sure how a Geissele will compare to a STD MilSpec FCG , but doubt it will be much more . Also not sure what Weight difference would be between the JMT FCG & say a Rough Justice FCG . I'll bet its not worth thinking about or comparing .
  23. Forgot to post the news link with it, sorry .
  24. Now that , I didn't know . I've never seen or looked at a designated 45 deg. only lower Receiver or one of their 45 deg. Safeties .
  25. My James Madison FCG ( Modular ), weighs in at 2.4 oz. with out Pins , but with the four set screws. Will weigh a MilSpec FCG later .
