I felt the same way when I had all of my NFA firearms , I feel a little less so , now that they are all gone .

Just remember the Armalite , AR 10 & DPMS ,LR receiver sets are different . The FA on a DPMS type of Upper Receiver does contact the BCG with out the assist serrations , it contacts the BC shoulder , not much but some assist .

I took the Geissele FCG from the 16" DPMS 308AR out & compared it to the new one & you can see the Back of the Hammer on the one to the right has been altered another 15 Deg. to work correctly in some DPMS, LR"s , I believe I did it with a File , because it wasn't much to make the system work . I put a new ( I've had it sitting around for a while ) Rough Justice from Mecharmor in the 16" 308AR & put that G2S in my 24" Olympic Arms AR 15 & the new G2S in my BRO build . More then likely the G2S will go back in the 16" 308AR & the Rough Justice will go into the BRO build . The only thing I see different is the Hammer Spring is a different color .

Got my Trigger today & the Swag bag was far more then I would have ever expected. & of course the G2S FCG & free assembly pin.

I would imagine a ALG ACT would work also , uses std AR 15 Springs & only around $ 65 & the ones I have after break in , are around 5# break . Not as nice as a Hyper Fire , but much less $$$$ . There are a couple of ones like the ACT available now , Bravo co has one in the price range also.

Are you referring to a Collapsable stock ? Because they do make a Foldable adaptor for the AR's , but the Rifle can't be fired with it folded . If you are going Collapsible ( Carbine ) stock , you will need a Carbine 308 Buffer , 308 Carbine Buffer Spring & for DPMS type Buffer system , any AR 15 Carbine Receiver Extension ( Buffer tube ) Same components for the Foldable Adaptor .

I chose the 300BLK , I don't own a firearm that shoots Combloc ammo . My AK is chambered for 5.56 Nato. The 300BLK is my only departure from NATO ( or its Commercial spec. ) ammo.

Only one comment & it summed it up , what a stupid video & very dumb a$$ reporters.

This Bear was clearly hunting & taking its natural pray , it just happened to catch it in someones back yard , who probably is right on the edge of its natural hunting range . That Bear surely didn't get in that back yard using a Gate ,the yard had to be open to the woods in some way & wasn't stalking or hunting humans , the evening meal had all its attention . Whats with the camera guy , out in the open with a large hungry Bear , thats asking for trouble . I agree it could be dangerous for children & Pets , but these people moved in there & should know whats out there . I live in Florida & have all kinds of deadly things in my back yard , yet I know about them & keep an eagle eye out as best as I can . I have Black Bear tracks on the Pond edge right behind my house , never have seen on , but Tracks & fresh Scat tell me they are there & I wont bring up the eight foot Dinosaur I used to see in the Ponds around here . Couple of months ago I watched a rather large BobCat take a Duck right in my back yard. It is what it is & just shooting everything to make yourself feel better about it is not the answer .

I still have the most of the grease that came with my two SSA's , I use it on all my FCG's .One other good thing about this Trigger . I have one that had to be slightly modified to fit a DPMS Factory Receiver , will take photos' compare both FCG's , for those who may have the same issue . Mod'd is from Geissele , they sent me a Diagram with instructions , but i'm not done looking for it yet . I wonder if they have altered the newer G2S's

I have been building the last of the unbuilt lower Receivers I have , happens to be a Black Rain Ordinance Billet AR 15 & not too long ago I reported that I purchased one of their Billet Norguard Upper Receivers & remarked that these two Receivers were purchased , many years apart & the fit & match was perfect , like the were built together . I just got all the Lower parts installed ( except FCG , waiting for a G2S ) last night & this has got to be the most perfectly matched receiver set I have ever worked on . When I pushed the Disassembly Pin in , it was a little snug , but not too tight , their is NO play between the Receivers , none , the Receivers fit perfectly , but not too tight . If I was to build another 308AR , I believe it will be a BRO set up , I can see a lot of potential in this Receiver set fitment , I have had to Bed fit Receivers to get this kind of fitment . Now the only thing I have not made a decision on is the Barrel & Handguard . Lower Receiver is marked " Multi Cal " so I may go away from a 5.56 , probably not though , I like keeping my Calibers to a minimum .

PMags will probably be easier to procure .

I'm too lazy , Bic & Magnesium fire starter tool , has alway worked for me . The only thing about the Bic lighter is ,if it gets too cold , you will need to put it next to your body to warm it up to work . My friends & my wife used to think I was nuts when I would go out & camp overnight when the weather got near zero , with only what i had on my back . I actually got some to come along with me . There were not into a second trip .

Welcome from Florida . As said above , keep the Receivers made by the same Manufacturers , if anything for the possibility of future Grief factor as has said , not to mention how the two will match up in looks .

Well they do post on their Sight that they are not compatible with other manufacturers components, so they make a proprietary Receiver , to be used with only their components . You would think if they came out with a Gen 2 , it would work with components not of their manufacturer ? All these manufacturers that have Gen 2 in the past , there was not a DPMS Gen II rifle at the time , I agree , they could have come up with a better or less confusing nomenclature .The 308AR Market is full of confusing advertising already with the AR10 being used for any 308AR component compatibility . True most will fit , but some don't , we have discussed this in the past . Proprietary systems do not do well in this market , unless you have a big well known name , that has a proven product .
