Good to know , I ordered one of their concealed weapon fanny pak's for the wife to use when she rides her Bike & its been about a month . Its in Phase 3 of production <laughs> , I was just wondering . I waited till it went 50% off , took the better part of a year to see it go on sale . I plan to order some of their mag pouches & was just seeing how this works out first. Thanks & I always try to buy made in the usa .

Any one purchase anything from them ? They make what we used to call Web Gear , like Back paks, mag pouches & such .

Since all these other manufacturers jumped on the 308AR band wagon , with there own version of a compatible DPMS Receivers sets ,there have been minor & some major fitment problems on some of them . Not your fault that you didn't know or wasn't aware of a fitment problem with this manufacturer or it needing a particular set of components . <thumbsup> Its Tolerance stacking , we have been working on these issues with other members here & its also a learning process for us too . If you read enough of the problems that are faced with some of these builds , it boggles the mind how a manufacturer can produce a product which I for one wonder about their Quality control or R&D testing . I personally would not purchase a Receiver set from a manufacturer that didn't make complete rifles . Sure a lot of builds are made with some that are not , but I can't see how a Manufacturer can produce something that is not been tested with a complete functioning rifle . Maybe most do , but some seem to be have fitment & function problems that one would think would show up in testing . <dontknow> Once it gets to manufacturing , it could go out of spec's also. I have three 308ARs , one ( my first build ) has DPMS factory Receiver set , two, has a DPMS Factory Complete Lower with a Tactical Machining Upper Receiver & the third ( Which is waiting for me to buy a new Barrel for it ) has a very early CMMG Billet Lower & a Gen II ,SI Defense Billet upper . This last combo will function flawlessly with any Metal mag put in it , but put a PMag in & it will fail to feed reliably . That there is Tolerance Stacking , can't blame CMMG or SI defense , because the PMag for LR 308AR's was just a dream for us & Magpul back then . Its like putting Quarter in the Receiver Extension for the Buffer system to work correctly , sorry 98 , I couldn't resist the fitment problem <lmao>

There is nothing wrong with the DPMS components when used with the proper Receiver Extension on a DPMS 308 rifle & most of the other DPMS compatible Receiver sets . The facts are that there is no standard with some manufacturers Receiver sets . If you had a DPMS set up , the components you have would work flawlessly . Just ask the tens of thousands of LR 308 AR owners out there, that have great running rifles with their DPMS components . Blaming DPMS for their components not working in your after market copy or version of their design , is absurd . <dontknow>

When you open the reply , you will see at the bottom right , " More Options " open that & on the bottom left side you will see " Attach Files " , chose the file you want , then" attach this file " & once its shows up below the text box , add it where you want . There are other ways , but I don't know them .

I think the meplate on the Bullet ,is the culprit in the varying lengths . Even though they are not that great of a difference , it might effect grouping . We will find out if I can get back to the range , it was far to windy today . If I had one of those fancy Meplate uniformers , maybe I could get them all as close as the Hornady's are . Why should I have to do that on a Match Bullet ? <dontknow>

The MechArmor is right there ,with hardly any creep & a very fast reset. My first one settled in & lost a pound of pull after about a hundred rounds , you will like it . I do like my Geissele's , I like a two stage Trigger also.

The Bolt Carrier should always contact the Hammer , when passing over it, to some extent . You now probably only have minimal contact , as it should be if the Hammer is in cocked position . I see I missed a lot that went on in this thread , glad they took care of you .

I really haven't had a chance to see what the Nosler will do , I'm still into load development , will know more tomorrow about the final charge wt. of TAC. They both are shooting pretty good , but as I said , not enough trigger time with them both . The AMax's are less expensive , that's for sure.

I'm not too sure on that one , the CUP or PSI on the Bolt lugs when the cartridge is fired are great , not to mention the pressure still on them when they start to unlock . Example , could be 55,000 psi , I have no idea what kind of pressure is exerted on a Crank or Connecting rod bearing , but for a rifle locking lug , thats quite a bit of stress <dontknow>

This was something I didn't expect from a match Bullet , I was getting slightly varying COL's with the Nosler 155 gr. Match Bullets , so I measured ten of them & of the Hornady 155 gr. Amax Bullets . Nosler 155gr. Match 1.151 " ( 3 ) 1.153" ( 2 ) 1.154" ( 1 ) 1.155" ( 2) 1.156" (1 ) 1.161" ( 1 ) Hornady 155 gr. AMax 1.212 " ( 1 ) 1.213" ( 3 ) 1.214" ( 3 ) 1.215" ( 3 ) I always thought that the Polymer tipped bullets would be the ones not so uniform <dontknow> The two Bullets are of different configurations , as far as the shape of the Bullet & its ogive .

I going to put this question to all here . What firearm lubricant would you use in the Engine or Transmission in your car, truck or Motorcycle ? If your answer in none , then why would you even consider using a lubricant made for your car , truck or Motorcycle in a Firearm ?

Yes it is , but not what you asked or referred to in the first post . I wasn't sure where you were going with it , you could have been talking about using it in the Primary of your HD . <dontknow> <laughs> Some do !

With all the true & tested Firearms lubricants & cleaners out there , you'all want to use tranny fluids <dontknow> Just about any kind of lubricant will work in a pinch ( I have used oil from the dip stick from my truck before , but I had to ), but to make your own brew for lubricants & use it ? :ugone2far: To each their own ,Its your firearms , so use what ever floats you boat . I know what your going to say , but unless you have a large R&D program , I don't buy it . <munch>
