338 Federal ,6.5 Creedmore ,260 Remington , 243 winchester , 7 mm-08 , I'm sure there are more . On the most part its just different Barrels .

I have a SI Defense Gen. II Billet Upper & its mated to a very early CMMG Billet Lower . The combo worked with any Steel Mag. I put in it , but will not work with Magpuls Pmags reliably . They are not attached to a Barrel right now , but will be shortly . Not sure which is the problem , but I believe its the CMMG lower , I can put the SI Defense upper on a DPMS Lower & Pmags will work , but no Upper I put on the CMMG lower will work reliably with them . All about Tolerance stacking , this is a CMMG Lower that was made before the LR PMag was made , if fact , many years before , so I don't blame CMMG for the Stacking problem. Mixing different manufactures Receivers is a crap shoot . <dontknow>

Well since they are not available yet ,I won't post any photo's . They co-witness with my Vortex red dot . No locking in the deployed position , like the MBUS , which I like .

PM "Toolndie7 "or "shibiwan" , both very good at what they do & may want to take on your Pin making job . Its worth a try to see if they will want to make a set of extended Pins .

I don't see any reviews of their sights , what no one buy or get some yet ?

All this lock time talk again , the lightening & Titanium firing pins & such all came about because of competitive precision shooting at long range & Competition hand gun matches . Does it help in groups & how they can be quickly acquired , yes , as far as competition matches , mostly , but all that Mico millisecond stuff ,not as much use in a combat or self defense firearm ,IMO . I will sacrifice a millisecond for proper function any day , you won't perceive it in a stressful situation , at any rate . Some firearms are much simpler to gain lock time by lightening components , some , not so simple . The Hammer spring on a 1911 is a power house & you can easily remove weight from the Hammer to lower lock time & not effect function reliability . There are progressive springs that can be used with these Modular FCG's , they may be using them already. <dontknow>

This may be a really stupid question , but why bother changing them when all you need is something to push them out with ? I use a plastic pen shell or a plastic punch . I would not alter the Receivers pin holes , It would not be a problem to alter a Pin size , they can be turned down or even made to your spec's , if you so choose. The placement of the detent notch in the grove of the Pin would have to match to retain the pin in fully closed position , also . Experiment with ,as was said , the least expensive component ( Pins ) There are those here that can Machine you pretty much anything you need , if you have good spec's .

What gets me is , I can take any AR 15 FCG & set off any primer , be it a 308 or 5.56/.223 ( granted , they have much larger components ), but you can't do the same with the Modular FCG like this one & others from what I have read . The fact that a Titanium firing pin is needed to proper set off hard ComBloc primers , is troubling . I believe its how the system is made , maybe because of its compact package , being Modular . It is probably more of geometry of the system , that gives it this slight flaw . I was told that just using a heavier Hammer spring doesn't solve the problem & even adds to Trigger release problems . Which might be why setting the release too high or low causes problems . I still don't see why the Co. didn't just replace your Trigger Module , with a new unit . All kinds of thoughts go through my head of why they didn't . The MechArmor Modular Trigger is my first one & I'm very pleased with it . i never plan on using ComBloc ammo , so I have no concerns with it . I also do not like Adj. Trigger systems , I don't like any thing that can loosen or come off , with in the FCG . I can see uses for them , but I personally ,have none .

Didn't they just come out with that bullet last year ? I pretty much only load 110 gr. Bullets for my 300BLK AR any more , but I'm more into Bullet performance in wild game , so to speak . <thumbsup>

So the Pivot Pin is shorter than a DPMS & the Take Down Pin is longer than a DPMS . With the Pins being 0.275" , a smaller diameter than the 0.277" DPMS Pins ? Ya got me <dontknow> sounds Proprietary for Ruger Receivers .

I do remember a problem with the feed lips & thats why they came out with the mag caps or why they should be used , because the fully loaded mag would put too much pressure on the feed lips,with out the cap on if stored for long periods of time . That was a long time ago , I believe .
