  1. Can I get in touch with them ?
  2. Does he have any stripped upper receivers ? I need one for the 5.56 Black rain Ordinance lower I just bought . They make nice receivers .
  3. Even if you have a 3 1/2 " mag shotgun , you won't shoot much of it for fun . I use my 870 mag for Turkey hunting & I don't practice with it much. You can use 2 3/4 shells for most uses.
  4. Chronograph results would help, if available . All loadings will make different pressures with different brass. The brass you use may not be what the loading data was used with , so pressure signs may be different. Start low & build your loads & as said above , play with your COL , to a certain extant because of Mag. restrictions as far as the COL.
  5. I feel the same way & have looked at that tool , but never went farther than that. The only anal thing I do is weigh my brass & sort it that way. Don't care what the stamp reads , if its in a weight category , that's where it goes.
  6. I would also make sure the catch is seating correctly in the receiver & not protruding because of burr's from machining. Make sure it seats all the way in the receiver & works freely .
  7. I have to say , this is one nicely made lower. I like the adj. for slop take up between the upper & lower. I was going to build this as a 6.8 spc , but may be changing my mind & just stay 5.56
  8. What the hell is that on my Avatar any way ?
  9. Yep & we get our beach time also . Its a bonus.
  10. Nice , now just get my Foliage green one done & I'll order one in FDE. :)) The Parkerized centers won't bother me at all.
  11. Great , just when I don't have extra cash on hand. Nice looking BCG.
  12. Just oil the receivers & they will go to a black color . I thought the same thing with the Tactical Machining receivers.
  13. BLC2 is close to the WC 846 I've been using for about twenty years , close ,but not the same . I get excellent results using WC 846 with 5.56 & 308. I just got some more 4064 & will start load development for the AR's , because finding surplus powder is a ways off. At least I can get commercial now & then . If I could find some BLC2 , I would buy some .
  14. Ya the SD & ES need work ,but the groups were not that bad , which is strange. Not bad at all for first loads & I need to also try them in my 16", just for comparison . Will play with load .primer & COL .
  15. I use H110 & WW 296 , basically the same powder , same charging weights. I got Sierra 110 Varminter bullets & Barnes 110 gr. TSX flat base bullets to try out .( to bad there's only 50 in a box)
  16. I have two loadings i just tried out with 4064 , LC brass, 62 gr. Barnes TSX bullet,24 grs. 4064 ,COL -2.250" avg.vol.-2780fps ES - 100 SD - 33 LC brass ,52 gr. SMK bullet, also 24 grs. 4064 , COL - 2.180" avg. vol. -2896 fps SD - 80 ES - 40 Shot from a 24" ultra match barrel, AR 15 They all shot good ,but loads need more experimenting

    M1 Garand

I think Hornady makes a special load for the M1. Now try to find any thing any where & you got it made. I have always shot hand loads or Milspec ammo for the M1
  18. I have a poop load of 110 gr. bullets on the way . Speer ,Barnes , & Hornady's, when I get them I will start loading & get some Chrono data for us. Can't wait . So, I can't write $hit, changes it to poop , well I don't poop Drew I Sheit. >:D
  19. Use the inexpensive ammo for barrel break in( try to stay away from corrosive fodder) if not a hand lapped match barrel. If its been hand lapped , just shoot .
  20. Any one deal with "GOHUNTING.COM " , I see they have Black Rain Ordnance Billet uppers in stock , well it reads they are in stock any way .
  21. There will be a waiting period to get any work done or a longer period to get a complete rifle.they are very busy . I believe they make some of the military sniper rifles .
  22. Got new trigger group in & changed & fitted the new gold trigger in . Also installed the Timney Trigger fix & came up with a 3 3/4 #, nice & crisp pull , shot better than the other professional trigger job , that went bad .
  23. I put money down on a lower today & will pick it up next week . Put cash down ,all I had with me to hold it , so no one else would scarf it up . Going to build a 6.8 . Looks like its Billet .
  24. And I hate to say this ,but, where's the photo's ?
