  1. My local fun shop had a bunch there today when I stopped in. Surprised me .
  2. Any one using H110 with 110 gr. bullets & what are some of your results. I've loaded just about every thing else , but 110's .
  3. They went quick . Some Magnus bullets still in stock . I use them, they shoot good .
  4. Another option would be to get a Superior springs ( Tubb's ), buffer spring.
  5. We don't need no stinking bottle openers ::)

    Bullets

I found some bullets in stock over at Mid South shooters supply. Hope I left some for for you guys >:D If I get them , I'll let you know what I got . Ya just never know now a days.
  7. The wear you show is not normal, some thing is going on . At no time should your BC contact the threads of the receiver or its extension. The receiver extension is a guide for the BCG. I see there is a collapsable stock configuration. If its factory stock rifle , I would think an AR 10 buffer spring & one of Slash's buffers would stop the excessive BCG travel, but as said before ,measure the length of the spring & how many coils it has ? Also weigh the buffer. Also check for alignment issues , are the pivot & disassembly pins tight & how much play between the upper & lower ?
  8. Hell, i've been looking for 9mm die set for a friend of mine , for a month . That was worth the price of admission.
  9. Nice
  10. I ordered the trigger assembly today , last one for a 12ga. , super mag . Said the std 12,ga., mag would not work . The only difference I can see between the two is the 31/2 trigger assem. from my slug gun is the grove in front of the trigger guard . May be for the longer 31/2 shells , but I only use 2/34 slugs any way . I will do a more detailed comparison when it gets here.
  11. You would most likely have to stay with the lighter bullet weights ,but ya never know , might work just fine . As said, the 1-8 is used for a wide span of bullet weights . Might work fine for a specialty longer range rifle .My 1-8,16" shoots any bullet wt., I put through it pretty damn good . Now the 1-12, 308 sounds interesting.
  12. Having a longer hand guard has its advantages, more room for your hand , of course , if using a bipod ,lets you mount it farther out towards the end of the barrel. The problem is , if you use a adj. gas block , you may need to make some way to adj. it ,through the hand guard. I have two rifle length 308's ,a 16" & a 20" & am building a 18.5" & its a rifle length gas system. The 16",rifle length barrel , shoots fine . I would not have a carbine gas system in 308, but others seem to have them & they work fine . The 308/7.62x51 has a lot of gas power when fired , The lighter you make them the more they will feel like they are over gased, that's for sure.
  13. Ripped while at you house ? Gotta love Cal.. They cutting it open or taking the whole thing ? Armor it ,make it so they can't get to it . Pretty ballsy ripping an LE off .
  14. Sounds like you have excessive BCG travel. Wrong spring or buffer ? Pull the spring & buffer , weigh the buffer & count the coils of the spring. Looks like a rifle receiver extension , is that what stock you have on the rifle ?
  15. Man, a lot of comments sound like there idiots. They may have only 200 employee's ,but how many jobs support those employee's & support for the factory . What idiots ! The one that said the real votes & voters are in the shity's & that's how ass in chief got elected. So they have it all figured out .
  16. I remember reading an article about set back on pistol ammo that was repeatedly chambered in carrie & service pistols , rotate ammo often , because as said above they do set back by being repeatedly chambered. Not sure how rifle fodder fairs , I for one don't do the same as with my carrie gun . If I feed some thing into my rifles, its shot , but service rifles will most likely suffer from the same set back as pistols, . under the same circumstances.
  17. Kinda makes you wonder how many are set back & no one knows it . Might account for some of the flyers, shooters get. If all the components are with in correct spec's , the cartridge should feed into the chamber smoothly with out much force on the bullets frontal area to cause it to be set back. Some reloaders just rely on case neck tension as has been described.
  18. You should take the batteries out also if its going to sit unused for a while . I keep mine in a small zip loc baggy in the butt stock compartment ,with spares. Getting excited & wetting pants because of a hot rod scope is OK bro.,Happens to the best of us & why not get the scope on target with blasting ammo .Save the good stuff for serious grouping.
  19. Trigger assembly Check out the crack more to follow
  20. Ya, kinda happy about it & it breaks clean. Now I have to figure how to reduce the size of the photo's I uploaded on this new Macbook pro.
  21. Rounds down range will loosen things up . As many as you can .
  22. Well, this is on a DSG ( designated slug gun ) the original FCG had a professional trigger job done about three years ago( I didn't want to mess with it & the price was right ) & the hammer sear engagement surface failed & I had a acidental discharge while standing next to the road to our hunting camp. I wanted some thing that was made better than the factory parts , at least better metallurgy. I took the Trigger group out of the new 870 , I bought as a spare (got a deal from a friend , was never shot ) & since all the 870 mag trigger assemblies are the same now a days ( all plastic ) I fitted the Timney kit in & with the four pound sear spring in there I am getting a consistent 31/2 # pull & the safety works . I did notice as I was comparing the two Trigger assemblies ,I did notice a crack in the shell carrier , which I never noticed before . Has nothing to do with the FCG ,but another reason to get a new trigger assembly for this shotgun. I have a bunch of photos , just have to find time to get them from my camera card.
  23. Damn, they will probably be out by the time I order .
  24. My order came in today & I also got the new Barnes reloading manual . I seem to be loading a lot of Barnes bullets lately for Hunters. I just need some small pistol primers , how many times do I have to say that until you primer gods , start shipping !
  25. Cannelure bullet not necessary ,but as 98 said , some kind of taper crimp or the new Factory crimp by " LEE " . I'm using them more & more often now & am getting one for all the rifle cal. I load . I have been using a Taper crimp die for thirty years , with great success . Small base dies in most cases are un necessary ,but if you load for various rifles , especially , semi auto's, they work well .
