I don't think most or few would really comprehend how it would be to live in such a society , I've been to many Commie governed Countries & almost inconceivable for me or most here , to live in that type of control . North Korea is even worse then any of us can even imagine , they remind me of Japan in WWII , the People will do anything they are told , because thats all they know , similar to any of the Mooselimbs that are fanatical in their beliefs . Russia is a little different now a days, compared to how some of us who grew up training in school to dive under the desk with a Thermal Nuclear Blast . If we start something there , we have to take it all the way , because they won't stop till they are fully defeated .

They are still screwed up around here from the Hurricane , been trying to get to one for quite a while , we can drive on them here & it makes it easy to haul all the equipment . Just waiting for them to open them back up when they replenish the sand .

The 1-9 rate , may be why some of the first or a lot of the reviews were showing less then 1 MOA for this round . I also liked the use of the Drone in that 800 yard video , a great tool , I don't play enough with mine , but sure want to .

One thing that makes me wonder is what twist rate is the guy using for that 800 yard shoot . There barrels are 1-10 , most of the reviews I read or watch say 1-9 , so why or when did they go to 1-10 ? I probably know the why , performance , but when ?

Criterion is out , I expect a one off is not cost effective ,so don't blame them .Waiting for Faxon to say the same , but ya never know .

I just need a Barrel & reloading equip. , I just keep spending the $$ on operational crap for the house , like last week I did a side job & had to turn right around the next day & order a $ 400 Circuit Board for the Spa , yes even down here us old farts need our soothing Spa's . This week is a good deal ( & another $ 400 ) on a 1 1/2 ton, 14 Seer Heat Pump Condenser for my upstairs A/C system , can't pass the deal up , I have thirteen years on that smaller system & I'm pushing it down here . He gave a good review of that Primary Arms scope . I emailed both Criterion & Faxon Arms to see if they will make a Barrel in 25-45 Sharps , if not , I get one from Sharps if they have any left . They show two different contour's for the 20" & I see the lighter one is not in stock now again . I'l not be shooting anything at 800 , but maybe 500 yards, I'm working on that now .

Damn , that's the best review I have seen or read , Factory ammo , from what it looked . Impressive . Too bad we couldn't see the sight in targets at those ranges . Damn it 98 , now I have to have one & have made my mind up & its still going to be a 20" BBL. Edit , he doesn't need to talk me into a JP hand Guard , I have two .

Nitrated will be fine , S/S if you don't want it Nitrated , which seems to be the preferred treatment of Barrels now a days .Nitrated Barrels are easy to clean also . & yes as 98 posted , I was talking about my 308AR's

I have the two Kreiger/Criterion from Fulton Armory & had a Criterion after they went on their own & all are absolutely better shooters then I will ever be . I had & sold a 308AR with a 18" Criterion Hybrid S/S Nitrated barrel & if you look in the reloading section I have posted quit a bit of Chronograph results & some Target Photo's . My 16" has a Rifle Gas system & has not been an issue , the early CMMG lower I had it mated to didn't like the first Gen. LR PMags , but had no issues with Steel Mags or Lancer's . When Magpul came out with the Gen. 3 PMags , they worked in that early CMMG Lower , which was on the 18" sold & is working fine for the new owner . It only took him a year to talk me out of it . Both my 16" & 20" Kreiger/Criterion Barrels are HB versions , I would not hesitate in purchasing another Criterion Barrel .I believe I may have to order an AR 15 barrel soon , I'm still struggling with what Caliber , 25-45 Sharps or something else , all I need is a Barrel & Handguard . I'm in no hurry , overtime I get extra $$ ,life takes it from my toys .

I had to hold or apply pressure to the BC to take some measurements & took a Photo after .These measurements are not what I would make a Blue print from , but should be good enough to use for comparison . BC face to Charging Handle notch ------ ----------------- 0.386" Bolt Length ( AR 10 & spring loaded FP may be different ) -- 2.927" BC face to Gas Key ( interface with Gas Tube ) -------------- 0.304" BC face to end of Gas Key Base ------------------------------ 2.782" BC face to inner Cam Pin slot ( Locked position ) ------------ 1.155" BC face to outer Cam Pin Hole ( unlocked breach )----------- 0.475" Bolt Face to BC face ( locked position , BCG assembled )---- 0.586" Complete Gas Key Length ( rear base to where Gas Tube enters--2.464"

They changed their Barrels or the spec's of them a few years ago . I have two Kreiger/Criterion Barrels from them that have AR 15 rifle length Gas Tubes in them & are at the correct position . Both early Barrels before Criterion split from Keiger .

It will fit an " A " model Armalite , wait would that really be an AR 10 , since it takes DPMS / SR 25 Mags ?, thats different then an Original AR 10 I couldn't help myself .

I read where there were small dimensional differences in the Bolt Lugs also & he gave the measurements . I read that post in another Forum , a long time ago , don't remember where ( ARFCOM ? ) As will the measurements of the Bolt length & Bolt Face to BC face when Bolt fully into BC . Measurements will at least confirm a difference or not . Maybe a Measurement from the face of the BC & the charging Handle Notch , just for curiosity . I will Take measurements with Photos of where or how I'm measuring , just for clarification .

So much for anyone to say the two BCG's are the same , regardless of a Spring loaded Firing Pin . This thread has been enlightening , but I would like to see some some what precise measurements of the differences or comparisons . I can get the DPMS Measurements , but hopefully one of you guys can measure a real AR 10 BCG for us /me . I have two DPMS 308AR BCG's & one SI Defense 308AR BCG's to measure , BC face to Cam Pin slot . BC face to end of Gas Key ( front where as Tube enters ) BC face to rear base of Gas Key Complete length of Gas Key , also the Base length where it attaches to BC . Is the complete Bolt any longer ? Anything else we should compare ? It may just be the Photo , but the Bolts seem to be seated (or bottomed out ) at different depths ?

Kill suppose to be at 94 at this time . The Rats had a Tunnel or two to the Pakistani boarder & were using them to funnel fresh Rats into the fight . It will probably take years , if at all ,to tunnel out of them , not to mention use them again .

Someone show a measurement of a real Armalite AR 10 BCG next to a DPMS one & see if there is any Difference & then also the AR 15 . Its all about where you install the Barrels Gas Port . On another note , where does the Gas tube on an AR 10 ( Armalite ) sit inside the Upper Receiver , is it sitting deeper in the Upper then in a DPMS LR 308 ? If factory ammo is chambering with out issue , I would make sure your Hand Loads are sized properly ( Cartridge Head space Gage ) & COL is proper for the Bullet used .
