Heck...lets spiffy that thing up some more and spend some of your bucks on it...lol Lets get a scope and a burris pepr qd scope mount...me and my gal shoot steel at 500 yds...well she hits it....so we need to get the nikon 8429 ...yes I know the list is almost a grand ,but the good price is under 500 bucks...I just bought my second one....ok so now what else?....hmmm <munch> lemme think <thumbsup> Wash

Hi Guys So im getting ready for my new mega build this week and just remembered I had trouble with the big azz dpms not fitting tight enough on the troy extreme barrel nut and boogering the barrel nut up...yes i understand there are two different ends but neither one worked worth a crap on the troy trx 308dpms barrel nut part number strx-308-dobt-00 so I called em and ordered a another nut which I have settin on the bench...so now im tryin all my different ar wrenchs ....tech at troy told me the dpms was the one to use last month ,but nope it wasnt....so guess which wrench fits the 308 troy like a glove? Its just the old lil square three prong wrench for the m16a1 that I had still in cosmoline.....yippee gtg for Friday! <thumbsup>Wash

Hiya Ive got one trx battlerail and another on the way...mine is the 13.8 which covers the gas block which is a lowprofile made for the sass barrel....another story....lol but ive got a stag for the new build which fits under the trx....dpms changed their height profiles on the upper so troy builds two different heights...im using a mega upper so i use the high profil trx....you can go to their website and it explains which one you need.....but screw that you call troy ask for tech support and talk to Jeff Morgan....he is the guy to get you the proper trx for your upper <thumbsup> Wash

Heres Lil Blackie of course built with the mega set using a much too heavy 18" dpms sass barrel,troy extreme battle rail,rr nm trigger,magpul acs,tubbs buffer spring,dpms bcg,and a nikon 6x24x50 bdc scope. Ive got the parts on the way for Blackie #2 cause this one shoots so well,but changing to a rainier 18" hoping its lighter :) Wash

Sheesh I caught the barrel maker before he sent out the 16" to me...so that deal is not coming....with members help and gf's better judgement I snagged an 18" barrel today along with a few other goodies <thumbsup> Wash

Geez.....ive gone and done it again....I just hope I didnt screw the pooch on this one? I was lucky enough to purchase a 16" blackhole weaponary 308 barrel midlength gas right off Carl's shelf today,but is 16" too short for a 308? Could it be loud? will it hit steel at 500? <laughs> Wash

Hi Jgun I have three identical nikon 6x18x40 scopes with the mil dot bdc on my two 6.8's and on this 308 . This picture is the new nikon 6x24x50 with the bdc....I havnt shot this new scope yet,but its a monster compared to the others which are nice scopes too. I use the rock river and pepr burris cantilever mount both pretty much the same mount. I know the scope looks high in the pic,but its a perfect fit. My cheek weld is the ol nose to the charging handle kinda thing...you know old school....lol. I just cant justify a thousand bucks for a leupold.... im very impressed with this new one...its a model 8429. the other two are models 6474 from midway..impressive also. one other neat thing about nikon is their new ballistic software from their website...its awesome! Just got in some new glass for Lil blackie......ive got to hit the 6" steel at 500yds on the first pull like my girlfriend did 2 weeks ago.....if I dont hit on the first try ill never hear the end of it......she's been saying ping as she walks by me for the last 2 weeks..wish me luck! <thumbsup> Wash

Ive Got one from PRI thats similar to the one in the pic.....yes it does work.If you are on the firing line the people on the left and right of you will hate you....lol got mine for 80 bucks Regards Wash

Why dont you just build one? You will have some fun building what you want and maybe save a lil money? If you can chew gum and walk at the same time you can build one of these....lol Wash

Hi Guys Me and my gal took lil blackie to the range today .I had changed the stock from an a2 to a magul acs and used a tubbs spring in there. She shot bout 40 rds and I shot bout 60 rds....we had not one blown primer cause I threw the privi in the trash.....not one ftf or fte no nuthin just smooth as silk. I think ive got bout 200 rds now down the pipe,so I consider lil blackie gtg. this is my biggest caliber and I LIKE IT! :D Wash
