Engineering ...whoo whoo. Electrical...everything i built smoked out. Ha You will love it...get you some cherry chips pecan and hikory. Place your pipe a tad above the grill grate and you need some xtra big washers for the pipe so as to distribute weight on side of grill. And remember you are going to need to take off the pipe off the grill to clean the kahuna so only hand tight and thats also the reason for washer inside. Isnt the pipe 1 inch? Then thats the size of big azz washers Wash

Dennis is a nice guy....lol I helped him get his kahuna working with gmg smokers...he couldnt make it work with gmg smokers because they have a positive pressure inside the grill from the fan and that would cause the smoke daddy not put smoke into the smoker...the smoke would come out the kahuna.....I redesigned the pitot tube for him and gave the kahuna positive air pressure in the bottom from the pump along with air into the pitot tube at the top overriding the pressure from the gmg.....along with a bigger pump Wash

If theres room on the backside of the hopper mount the daddy there on the grill...not in the front incase you need to go to a different controller....smoke is better to be coming from the back any ways not near the front Wash

  16. Hi Adam welcome from Texas I would shy away from the Dpms gen 2 's as they are too new and dont share a lot of common dpms parts. these ar308's can get very heavy if you arnt careful and then they arnt fun to play with....so stick with a 16" or 18" barrel max and not a a Dpms super sass barrel....they are way heavy...so why dont you shop around then post up a pic or description of the model you are looking at and we will give you the thumbs up or down? DPMS is fine.. lr30b....Nah 3g1...getting better there Wash
  17. Way to go East ! have fun....lemme know when you wanna tune on it.....lol btw after you get some rounds down the pipe you can start turning down the gas a lil if you wish Wash

  19. East welcome...now get some lube in the bolt catch slot and the trigger group...and lube the buffer spring and buffer too that thing might go bang bang after all Wash
  20. East like I suggested the way the fire control group is installed can fubar you....so that was one problem the trigger spring...but in the first pic looks like you have the hammer spring in the wrong way....the legs should be coming off the bottom of coilnot the top you have it installed wrong like you had the trigger spring so to speak...you need to look at that diagram closer in the instructions or got get a pdf of the system installed the right way...you are in fubar mode. with the hammer spring on like you have it ...it will fire or maybe not fire take the hammer out of the lower and make the legs come off the hammer like whats in the picture of the instructions the 2.5 inch is the correct buffer length should weigh bout 3.8 ozs use this one the 111/4 inch buffer spring is the correct one to use with the 2.5 inch ar308 buffer use this one not the 10.5 spring the bolt catch is holding the bolt in a correct manner good job my buffer tube is 7and a tad inches same as any ar15 car buffer tube Wash

  25. East here's an old post from Survival Posted 24 Jun 2015 · Report post Could we have a photo of the Bolt Catch in the Lower Receiver , with out the upper on it ? Check on the outside of the Upper receiver & see if there is any brush or wear marks , by the Bolt Catch area . You can use grease or some kind of marker , as to show where they are contacting. Put a thin layer of grease on the top area of the Catch & close the Upper onto the Lower & there should be some grease where the Catch came in contact with the Upper . The Bolt Catch can be altered if it is making contact . Also you sure you got the ar308 parts kit with ar308 bolt catch? whos trigger group? did you put the disco spring in correct? did you put the hammer spring on the correct way? did you check for debris in the fire control group? you got air now...good going get you a metal mag too you have the plastic pmag now right? you gotta get it to hold back Wash if it were me i would order up some metal 308 mags and have them on hand .......also time for pics ruler next to buffer and ruler next to buffer spring and a shot of where your bolt catch is making contact with bolt when held open (no mag) ruler gong inside of buffer tube...how deep? and maybe need another bolt catch
