  1. Hi Frankh Welcome to the forum ! The headspace will stay the same ...no worries...headspace will not change with torque.... dont use threadlocker on the barrel nut...use anti seize.....most of mine are torqued bout 60lbs give or take...use your instructions that come with a new handguard for torque values...they usually give you some values...but you can go above 50 lbs...good luck.... post a pic of the new rail Wash

  8. has this one been on here? Wash A young Arab boy asks his father, "What is that weird hat you are wearing?" > > The father said, "Why, it's a 'chechia' because in the desert it protects our heads from the intense heat of the sun." > > "And what is this type of clothing that you are wearing?" asked the young man. > > "It's a 'djbellah' because in the desert it is very hot and it protects the body." said the father. > > The son asked, "And what about those ugly shoes on your feet? > > His father replied, "These are 'babouches", which keep us from burning our feet from hot sand in the desert." > > "So tell me then," added the boy. > > "Yes, my son?" > > "Why are you living in Dearborn, Michigan, and still wearing all this $hit? > > >

  16. "I'm spending the winter building a few guns for a spring shooting trip and the main focus is doing it on the CHEAP." Ok on the cheap huh? ive seen many places that have ar15 lowers for like 49 bills..... so you are gonna take a P.O.S. steel plating weld on it or get in touch with Maduece and JB weld it...and you have never assembled an ar308 from an upper/lower made by a legit company? I bet thats gonna be a good looking piece of work ....now I know what im going to do when ive completely run out of $hit to do Wash
  17. Arch Do what?? welding? flat spot? WTF? Wash "I have just purchased a stripped DPMS upper and will be welding the lower (from the flat spot) as soon as I have the lower internal parts to verify fit and function. I also have a flat spot AR-15 lower that I just got the stripped upper for and will also be assembling and welding it at the same time, also as soon as I have the lower internal parts to verify fit and function."
  18. JRF. what Mrmac stated is very true...a good trigger will make you a better shooter... all of my 308 barrels are not considered high dollar thrown down pieces....but they all shoot sub moa out to three hundred yds....then moa out to 500 because I suk ...if you arnt familar with that term it means moment of angle...so when one sez their rifle shoots moa.... that means 1 lnch groups at 100....2inch groups at 200...3inch groups at 300...4inch at 400. Ect ect So one can have a sub moa barrel at 100...then further out not sub moa but just moa....kinda boils down to the shooter... Wash
  19. Halo. Good choice....send the pics and tell them bout the extension upper probs Wash
  20. Im thinkin with the other problems .... like the barrel extension and all.... send er back Wash
  21. Halo ive never seen ramps that are that sharp....I would get in touch with the barrel maker....maybe they missed a couple of steps? If that was mine...back it would go Wash
  22. JFR..... so what distance was the 6 inch groups? ." I've watched a ton videos of guys shooting at longer range and being completely happy 6 inch groups" Wash
  23. This is some nice stuff Bob ....is it pretty tuff ? Wash
  24. Jfrid all of my 16"s and my one 18" use middy gas length....we shoot steel up to 500 yds with the 16"s not a problemo...after the rifle is broken in you can always tune on it to get softer recoil...or get yourself a padded bra Wash
  25. Only one whos missing is Randy Quaid lol Wash
