  1. If anyone is looking to buy Tubbs/Superior shooting 308 flat buffer springs, Brownells has them listed as AR15 for carbine and full size stock, and 308 just rifle length stock only...That is wrong, the 308 full size stock spring also fits the carbine, in fact when you get the package it says it fits both...I called them on it, and they said the website was wrong, but as of a week ago when i called them they still haven't changed it... http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=22336/avs%7CManufacturer_1=SUPERIOR%20SHOOTING/Product/AR_15_CAR_15_AR_STYLE__308_CHROME_SILICON_SPRINGS

  5. I read this several times and i haven't seen these addressed: 1. Have you tried different ammo? 2.Have you tried a different mag? Try this to see if the gastube is aligned, take out bolt and let the carrier drop(muzzle down) on its own weight into the gastube... Are you using reloads?, tight chamber but its cycling to shoot but now enough power to hold the bolt open...Just my .02..
  6. Got some goodies today... :) Uploaded with ImageShack.us Couldn't wait to put them in.. ;D Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  7. Every once in a while i'll trim something with my Forster trimmer, just to remind myself that it was worth the money for the Giraurd, especially with arthritis starting in my fingers.... I bought it set up for .223, and bought the extra .308 setup...For those who never used one it works like a pencil sharpener, shove the case in and it comes out trimmed and beveled inside and out... ;D Uploaded with ImageShack.us Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  8. If as you say that you want a trigger with safety and reliability, as well as target grade performance, i think Geissele is the clear answer, they have many options, just find the one that suits you...
  9. Let me throw another thing in the mix, maybe the rifle being designed to fire full auto had something to do with it, i'm just guessing here, being it was mentioned about the less friction of the 4 grove... <dontknow>
  10. I feel honored to have made your list.... <laughs>
  11. I wonder if the sight and the base are 2 pieces so you can flip it around and make it for lefties <dontknow>
  12. You can't use the promo code anymore with the Giessele combo, i pm'ed them and they said they were "close to losing money on it" so they had to stop it, but that didn't stop me i bought the SSA combo, like you recomended, except i got the enhanced model...I have Giessele triggers in all my AR's except my MK12 model 0 which has a KAC, (i like the Giessele better) ...
  13. Talk about the saying "while the cats away the mice will play" Wife is staying with son and grandkids, and i'm home alone with all my paid off credit cards <laughs> I think i used every sponser on this site... <lmao>

  17. I will keep you all up to date, i just sent uncle Armalite some money, and i'm waiting for a reply to a question from Battle Arms about a trigger combo... Any suggestions are welcome, while i've been building Ar's since the 60's (yes you read that right) i know little about the AR308's, this seems to be a great site to get that information, and so far i see a great bunch of guys willing to share it without the usual BS that you get from other sites...
  18. I just got this on friday, as some others here, i am going to try to build a carbine as light as i can... Uploaded with ImageShack.us
