I just bought a SIG P938-22 and am completely unimpressed. Of course it's a 22lr and has little in common with the 9mm version with the exception that the frame is the same as the 9. I expected better from SIG but it is a budget pistol (for a SIG).

Is that the Elite 98 or Elite 03? There are changes made to the newer 03 and some parts are harder to get for the older 98.

I own a MK9 Elite 03. It's a very well made pistol, much nicer than their plastic framed pistols of which I own two and used to own a third. It's nicely weighted and well balanced with a typical silky smooth Kahr DAO trigger. Being a steel framed pistol allowed me to add walnut grip panels sourced from Kahr. It uses the same holsters as their PM9. My problem with it as well as the PM9 is the very stiff recoil springs. My Kahrs P45 and P380 do not suffer this drawback as extremely. I carried mine regularly until I purchased the far superior Boberg XR9-S that has become my favored CCW. I'll bring it to work with me when you drop by to see my new Boberg XR45-S.

Yep, I believe you're right, sorry. It's the HK 22s that come from Umarex, as well as the Colts and some Walthers. (I had one of those Colt and one Walther POS). SIG is the one that's gotten into bed with GSG, another big user of zinc. (I've owned two of those POS, a GSG-5 and a GSG Kalashnikov) Don't own any of them any longer. Y'all aren't allowed to carry loaded rifles in your vehicle?

It can be converted to detachable magazine? What style of mag?

I don't much care for the SIG 522. It's built by Umarex and like most Umarex products relies heavily on zinc alloy internal parts. It's folding stock has also earned a reputation for fragility. Robo's AR-22 is primarily TACCOM. Very high quality.
