Cool. Just brought it up because we've seen it in here quite a few times. Even some DPMS pattern barrels require the slightly longer armalite gas tube, otherwise the carrier key separates from the tube too quickly causing an undergass/short stroke situation like the one you describe.

Double check you have the right gas tube. Standard rifle length and AR10 rifle length are slightly different. Make sure your tube is protruding deep enough into the upper.

Both would be nice if possible.

What do you experts think? Could that M4-72 be turned down to .75 od? How sweet would that be? Edit...looking closely, there's not much meat in the ports as is, and the wrench flats are probably too deep to get it flush anyway

I'd love to do one of those seamless comp setups like tool and Mike do, but the new barrel is .750 and all these are bigger.

Have you guys seen the UBR gen2? Suppose to be lighter and compatible with the Vltor A5 buffer system...which is very similar to the armalite AR10 system. I ditched the gen1 because it was too heavy but otherwise an awesome stock. Can't wait to check out a gen2

Well, one story is the guy was on all 4s when the officer pumped 5 rounds into him. Again, I'm waiting for the body cam footage to judge, but initial reports look like it was a bad shoot. Just read the officer has been terminated for his unauthorized modification of a duty weapon. Will be interesting to see how the criminal case plays out. The civil case is already won before it starts. You can't replace a lost loved one/father, but they are going to be millionaires this time next year.
