  1. I don't have any. Local shop that no longer exists spaced my last two guns. I doubt I'll build another 308 after this one, but might get the gauges anyway.
  2. Don't see any way back for them. I predict they fade away in a year. At least TROY makes some really nice products, so a lot of people went back to them, or never left. Ares doesn't really do anything that 100 other companies aren't doing. People bought parts FROM DIMITRI. not from ares.
  3. If that gun doesn't already have a name..I suggest skeletor.
  4. Thoughts on just using a field gauge to get the gun out on the range and some rounds through it?
  5. Wow. That's pretty darn light!
  6. I kinda like rough looking mags. The issue to me is paying for shiny new mags and receiving rough looking mags. If they were discounted for the obvious finish wear, I'd be ok with it. Maybe ask them for some store credit, of have them send you one for free and call it square.
  7. Please dont post that audition video if you do go for it
  8. I actually have a big tube of engine assembly lube that I've used on all my builds. Black messy goop. Molly based. Seems just fine. I'm pretty sure it's at the proper frequency.
  9. Check out Ares Facebook page...it's ugly lol. This won't end well.
  10. I saw brownells actually has a home brand 14.5 308 barrel for $250ish. I almost jumped on it but my build needs a rifle gas and parts are already in the mail.
  11. To be honest...when I originally read the description of that idiotic 6" long muzzle brake they made, I knew something was coming. The heavy emphasis on "we made sure it couldn't be misused" was very un-Karras like. Could already feel the noose tightening. Hope he starts something new. Found this as well. http://jerkingthetrigger.com/2015/07/06/dimitri-karras-answers/
  12. Shame. They were doing something special with dimitri at the helm. He wanted to make a statement. They just want to make money. Just another gun part warehouse without him.
  13. Wonder if any outside forces with 3 letter names leaned on them?
  14. Right. Whatever I find in the bottom of the toolbox! Usually missing a top and making a mess.
  15. It's a 30 round magazine clip in less than a second. GHOST GUNS!
  16. Psshh. Pipe wrench and a flat tip and there you go
  17. I don't think spending 30min to assemble a Lego gun is in the same ballpark as building an entire car. Not saying one way is better than the other. If somebody made a factory gun exactly how I wanted my gun...for a similar price, I'd be all over it.
  18. Takes more than a nice rifle to shoot well long range. I don't have the time or money for that. I'll be happy with reliable and 1.5 moa at 200 with the new gun.
  19. They have a pic of a 2.7" group @ 1000yds on their Facebook page. That's either a damn fine barrel, or cali Ed is a customer of theirs.
  20. Damn! That's pretty cheap. Wonder what port size they use..or if they have ever done one.
  21. I have one on a 5.56 gun, so unless the gas port is way undersized, shouldn't need any special tweaking. Waiting to see when criterion has theirs ready, but I like the idea of a lightweight over a med weight contour. Not planning on this gun going more than 300yds. DNP is running one. I know there's one or two others as well.
  22. Hmmmm.....a lightweight 16" rifle gas? Email may be in order.
  23. the VLTOR stock had a better cheek weld, but I just love the look of standard stocks. this configuration might stick around for a while.
  24. Lol. I like those little guys. Nice an clean looking. Don't snag. Easy to shoot prone. I need a few more.
  25. Been a while. Love the GGG bipod, but this gun is top heavy and the modpod holds it nice and flat. Also went back to standard stock. CAV C1. Reppin my favorite website as well.
