I know there is a big difference between someone saying "I'd love to...." and "I'm going to...." but it does open us to the possibility of pretty serious abuse as you said. My buddy is always using the next best lube. Constantly telling me My Mobil1 and remoil aren't doing the best job, and yet my guns all still go bang over and over. I spend about $6 for a spray can of remoil that lasts me a loooong time. Little more for a qt of oil that lasts even longer. One on the work bench, one in the range bag. Easy.
