in my optic experience, weight has been a low priority. I glazed right over in the past. recently, I had my 308 all apart and realized how much heavier she is with the bobro and weaver tactical. that's a pretty beastly combo. the rifle isn't bad at all with the scope dismounted. certainly going to be a consideration for future purposes.

just scored a complete large ruck in used/good condition for $45, and a brand new complete military sleep system for $113 shipped. the ruck is the army external frame MOLLE 2 in ACU. I got out in 04 and we were still using ALICE, so I have no experience with these. any of you guys using this pack for business or pleasure? opinions?

I troll fleabay pretty often. just need to know what you are looking at. never buy off brand stuff, and know how to tell if the branded stuff you are looking at is real. there is a universe of good deals in there if you are careful. my discontinued $15 BM/YHM front sight should be here Monday. if its the real deal, ill keep one and probably use the other for $70 worth of trade fodder on the big AR forum. hustle up! if its not, Paypal will throw my money right back at me.

I have a few standard options for bleeding. for airway, I have one of those up-the-nose breathing tubes. def. like to see some pics though. I'm just using an old combat lifesaver bag at the moment. nothing fancy.

I've been working on a first aid kit for a while, and I think its getting pretty respectable. wanted something I could throw in the car on vacations or bring to the range and be prepared for a sliver or shooting my toe off. the extent of my medical training is uncle sams combat lifesaver a decade ago, and YouTube. anybody have any experience with a good first aid booklet or manual that isn't too big? any of you medical field guys have suggestions for things that should be in a general use kit?

relevant necropost.....id never seen these sights before until this post, and thought they were cool. l have the 14" PRI tube on my 308 and its designed for dpms high while I have DPMS low. not a huge deal, but it leaves a 1/16" difference for mounting irons. I thought this could be a solution, but as noted, they are hard to find. on a random Ebay search last night I found a guy selling them for $15 shipped so I bought 2. he says they are legit. he bumped the price up to $20, but still seems like a good deal for a part that might come in handy down the road. just thought someone else might be interested. http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=261751470027

outstanding. I have a 16" rifle gas 5.56 barrel by DTI but the thing was a pig. had to get it machined down. it also won't cycle steel or low pressure rounds, so if you guys get that gas port sized right they will sell well.

I just downloaded it. showbox and movietube phone apps both have it. Movietube only streams, but showbox lets you DL it and you can watch it on your computer or tv later.
