Local shop had them for 9.95 last weekend in a big box.

well...i snagged 2 gunfighter charging handles while they were on sale at primary arms. since i was paying shipping anyway i impulse bought a micro green dot. theres a slight issue with the windage knob blocking a little bit of the view but ill see if its an issue when i get the rifle out to the range.

sigh...more parts should start ariving wed.

Since were on the subject....theres a guy selling vice blocks that he says are for 5.56 or 7.62. One fits over the flat top rail...and one goes on the bottom but has cutouts for the lugs on both rcver sizes. You put it in the vice sideways. Seems like it should work in theory. Any opinions? Its only about $20 shipped. Seems like a good option for us poverty stricken addicts.

Not sure if ill keep the RAMP. Might be cool for mounting a mini red dot...but I might try and sell it for another bobro. Should be here Friday so I can check it out.

Progress report...lower is ready. RRA national match 2 stage. PSA parts. Magpul ACS stock. Also just scored a nice deal on a Nikon M223 3-12 in a warne RAMP mount. Just waiting on the upper and im ready to rock.

as decent as that DPMS rail looks...it weighs 1.7lbs. thats just massive. i could chop 6" of barrel off and still gain weight over stock with that beast.

I have that same stock...it is adjustable a few inches in length and uses the A2 tube and spring. Its heavy..but really nice

tell me this doesnt look sick!!! i kinda like it better than the A3 upper. and to be honest, as goofy as the hi rider upper looks...i get a really nice and comfortable cheek weld with my PRS. disclaimer...this isnt mine..its a pic i found while searching for a forend to fit my rifle. however im thinking of chopping my barrel and copying this thing.

The rail in the pic is the DPMS. Part number is 308 ff 4sh or something close to that.

For the record...I found a pic online of someones hi-Top with the DPMS quad rail, 18" bull, and a PRS. It looked bad ass. Ill try to find it again.

Hey Matt..I know they make forends for the "high" and the "low" A3 receivers....but I havnt seen one for the "classic" original height receivers. They are significantly taller than the A3 style. If they do id love to see a link....the DPMS quad rails weigh a ton.

For clarification (because it still confuses me) do you have the original extra high receiver or the A3 style? And if im not mistaken there is 2 A3 heights for DPMS. This will certainly affect your choices. I was under the impression that factory DPMS quad rail was the only one that lines up with the classic extra tall receiver. Am I wrong?

But.....its TAPCO! Unless you guys plan on building an sks "sniper" rifle it probably wont matter :P

Curious why the rra would need the vented screw when other guns dont use it? Is it a tight seal in that tube?
