  1. didnt CT close?
  2. im disappointed. theres still some rail space unused on that rifle.
  3. when i built my rifle i had to put the muzzle on the floor and the stock in my chest and pull with both hands to get it to open. was kinda silly...but it wore in.
  4. This is bad!! Sounds alot like romneys AWB in his state! Everyone needs to go out and vote for....oh.....wait.....
  5. i have the 3-9. the build quality is awesome and i could probably use it to bang together a small shelter if i was ever caught in bad weather. also...swfa is awesome and i could probably return it for a full replacement afterward. they also have a decent trade in program. you can always buy the scope and trade it toward an upgrade at a later date. i traded a bunch of stuff and they gave me about what id expect to get selling stuff on forums.
  6. Find some airsoft nerds. Those guys LOVE to get all geared up in GI stuff.
  7. Think i can get a custom lower that says NOROMBAMA instead? maybe get REPULICRAT and DEMOCRAN on the selector.
  8. Anyone have experience w tango down mags? Brownells had them for $5 yesterday so i snagged a 6-pack. figure i cant loose at that price.
  9. Fre vers. of strelok is pretty cool. you can save data for multiple guns and multiple loads. for each gun. also has tons of scope reticles in the program and will show a picture of where the round will hit as if you were looking through your actual scope. has my swfa mil quad and my weaver emdr in the database. can set for mils or moa and tells you how many clicks or just poi adjustment.
  10. Nice. just bought a 3-9. Feels like i could throw it off a bridge and it would be fine. and if it wasnt SWFA would replace it!
  11. So....almost 3 grand for that rifle? was the laser/optic/light included in that price at least?
  12. Здравствуйте! if they do show up im licensed on most of the armored vehicles and familiar with the standard small arms from pistol up to heavy MG and RPG. id kill for a BMP2 as a camping vehicle.
  13. you seem a little catty lately LL. from what ive seen this place is giving you more support and positive vibes than you are getting elsewhere. maybe take it down a notch?
  14. So all this started after that news story right? Wonder if the hot shot showing off his ARs for the camera feels silly now.
  15. Theres a car driving around here with bronze star stickers in all 4 corners of the rear window and his lic plate says brnzstr. i just assume if he really was awarded a medal it was prbably for cooking some general a great steak. Medals usually follow humility.
  16. well, im broke...but im sure someone will jump on this. http://slickguns.com/product/portugese-nato-308-147gr-fmj-200-round-battle-packs-75-or-79
  17. so no $10000 titanium BCGs?
  18. I think i liked DCUs the most out of all my uniforms. They were comfortable and blended in most desert enviorments. Honestly wish I still had a set or two but I chucked everything in the battalion trash can the day I got my walking papers lol.
  19. do you (or anyone in here) happen to know the OD of the FH? wondering if it would be flush with the profile of my bull barrel.
  20. way outside my budget and i needed a little more magnification for the 308...but that 1-6 looks delicious. the scope showed up today even though the original delivery date was next monday. i slapped it on real quick because we always need to play with new toys immediately. pulled the bolt and looked down the barrel to get a quick boresight and the damn thing was almost right on. its a sign! i almost spent a little more and got another weaver tactical as i feel its the best bang for your buck tactical scope on the market right now....but ive heard so much good about the SS i wanted to check it out. plus its a bit smaller and looks great on the shorter barreled rifle. pics and reviews soon as i get some time to play with it.
  21. game changuh..nevah ben dun befo!!
  22. the messed up thing about that fire was i watched it start. we were driving the armored truck in from bisbee and it was just a tiny little burn right near the border fence on the back side of the mountain. could see it easy from the highway. my partner is a retired battalion chief for tucson fire and he was saying they needed to backfire that or it was gonna get bad. unfortunately the white mountain fires up north were the big news story and everyone was slow to react on the huachuca fires. 2 days later we drove through again and half the mountain was gone. i just went out sunday at 5am to try out my new rifle and all she shooting spots are shut down on the e side of tucson. seems some jack wad set the top of the mountain on fire. im almost sure it was tracer related since theres a local pawn shop selling them by the case.
  23. they let you guys have guns out there? im allowed to make fun since im also a former sonoma county resident. i just migrated east a few hours and ended up in America :P.
  24. seems like the best place to put this. just wanted to do a quick review since it might help someone out. i recently bought a new rifle and needed some glass for it. i have become spoiled by my FFP mil/mil weaver and cant see using any other configuration from this point on...however i was pretty much out of toy money. heard mixed reviews about the SWFA trade-in program and decided to give it a shot. they give you the option to sell outright or use as trade. i priced the items about the same as i would have selling on local forums.. they emailed me back the next day agreeing to a few of my prices and slightly less on a few. i was pretty satisfied with the offers they made me. all in all they gave me a little over $500 for a surefire weapon light, a ring marked redfield scope, a burris 3x mag, and 2 mounts (ggg and aimpoint) i might have done a little better selling individually, but i might not have. i would have to deal with lowballers and no shows and all the headache that goes with it. my package arrived at SWFA tuesday afternoon and my new scope shipped out this morning. should be here friday end of day. very smooth hassle free process, and im only paying $100 for my $600 ss3-9 scope.
