Some do it with volume...some do it with a pretty roll mark. I think that Costa rifle was a fricken joke but they sold out in hours. Its good for the industry. You can still build better for less if you dont care about the hype.

i remember seeing it. >:( guy i work with has a GGG front flip up sight gas block hes willing to let go cheap. not sure if it will work with the casv-el i scored. might not be able to work the mechanism without pulling the handguard off.

Figure id take a shot before I order anything. Need a few mouse gun parts. F marked FSB. complete delta ring. FSB parts ( sight post, detent,spring) and foliage ladder covers. No need for pretty..just functional.

local guy is selling a hogue overmold mauser stock for $85 shipped. no idea if they are any good or if its a deal. my FN bolt gun has one and it feels nice.

wanted to build a rifle for my wifes dad for xmas. hes really helped us out through a few rough spots this year. he has a few really nice vintage colt 20" guns but wanted a "little beater" to keep by the bedside and throw around in the desert. i think it came out pretty decent so far. built on a delaware machine lower. ive heard bad things but i have 5 of them and they went together just fine and lock up tight. this gun isnt being built for resale so its function over form. decided from the beginning i wanted to try a dissapator build because they look awesome and seem pretty functional, and del-ton finaly got barrels in stock at a great price. found a complete cardinal A2 upper recvr down in Toms neck of the woods for $35. YES PLEASE! LPK from palmeto black friday. used stock and little bits and pieces sourced localy. i was planing on using a MOE hanguard but a friend had an unopened AIMsport quad rail he decided not to use and gave it to me for $40. the rail drops in and is actualy amazingly secure. it has notches that lock into the barrel nut grooves so it cant rotate. it also has 6 screws that secure the top and bottom half of the rail. still need a BCG and some foliage ladder covers but im currently in it for just over $400 total :) im thinking we should be shooting for under $550. not bad for a non standard build. between the heavy barrel and the quad rail its got some weight to it but it should recoil nice. dads a big guy and wont care about a few ounces and i have a feeling the closet mall ninja inside him wil like the rail. my only snag so far.....the A2 flash hider only threads on 2 turns and then binds. any help? ive read people syaing jut "lube it and crank it on" but the threads in the birdcage are looking like they will crossthread if i push any harder.

For anyone interested....Costco seems to have some decent priced health plans you can buy. Buddy told me about it. I havnt looked deep yet but on the surface it looks like similar coverage to what I have now for 2/3 the cost.

Im about to be forced to drop mine. It went up $100/mo last year and its hapening again in Jan. I sure as hell cant afford $600/mo and still pay mortgage. Hope I can find something decent priced for my wife and daughter. Ill just suck it up like I always have.

The "roll" feels perfect with the ACS stocks big cheek rest. Problem is that the windage knob of the Nikon M223 pokes into the sight picture. Hope to get out shooting tomorrow and see if its a deal breaker.

It has arrived...2 Weeks early. I see Jesse on some of the big forums and he even pops into our local AZ one from time to time to preach the gospel. He seems to have become the face of stag.

its so ugly lol. dont know much about it. its called a RASE stock. A2 length. its from the bad old days. nobody liked them then from what i have read. it seems pretty rare (for good reason no doubt) it does actually work. springs are tight. Pmags and ARC mags dont fit.

They fired a couple of the highest paid guys....and hired several unneeded part timers. We cant even make 40hrs anymore. A letter from the shareholders demanding to sell the company was recently leaked on the Web. At this point im so jaded I want to watch it all come down.
