heres my baby i had to sell to get a house. sigh. growing up sucks. 93 240sx. just shy of 400 whp on 16psi and pump gas..daily driven. just have my little subaru station wagon and vintage toyota corolla now. and the ones without engines :)

same thing here with my RRA. i was having one stuck in the chamber every 3 or 4 mags. you have to BANG them out with a cleaning rod. have a guy heading over right now to buy my last 500rds of wolf from me. ill order some brass stuff in the morning.

the sheepherder seems like it could be a sub-catagory to the wolves instead of its own classification.

missed the response survival! its all .308 guts.. have a few days off next week and plan on heading out to the desert and running some ammo through her.

im gonna do a little of this in the AM. gotta earn the turkey.

update most of the bugs worked out. rifle ran fine through 20rds of match ammo but didnt hold open on the last round. was a new p-mag so wasnt able to verify weather it was the mag or the rifle. switched over to some russian/tula cheapo stuff and it went back to single shot. was ejecting about half the time but not chambering or holding open with the p-mag or the stock mag. did that for about 30 more rounds and got bored and went back to playing with my AR and my new P99. all the spent casings had two parallel scratches on them (barrel extension?) gas rings on the bolt are aligned right. noticed some crud on the barrel streaking out from around the gas block. seems like a gas problem. think it just needs more ammo through it or should i rip it apart and look for gas leak? i know other DPMS rifles can eat the tula stuff without issue. was running it really wet.

the ss and the viper are also what im looking at..but the ss has the FFP and most reviews put the glass ahead of the vipers. i was all set on a monarch X 2.5-10 my friend wanted to sell me..but its still about $100 more than those two and has mil/moa. ive been looking at optics for a month now and it seems to get harder to decide the more i read lol. anyone here using a monarch X?

i love that stock. if i didnt need the raised cheek of my PRS for the high rail on my dpms id swap out in a second. good looking weapon.

i know that millet gets good reviews. if its just a temporary deal the swfa super sniper 3-9 is a FFP MIL/MIL setup for $600. would a 3-9 be ok for 500 yd? im really considering one as a "for now" scope.

i have a DPMS upper with the raised rail, and the gas block rail is lower than the recv. not only seems pretty useless but looks funky too. dont plan on using irons anyway, but the aesthetics bug me.

i got my Fulton lower/PRS in a trade. the guy also gave me a huge Tasco 10x40 scope. its mil dot, SF parallax, ilum ret. it looks pretty much the same as the other ninjasniper optics i see (ZOS/Barska/etc) same styrofoam carton, same big goofy wheel for the parallax knob, same single bolt turrets. is this the same scope re-branded by (or for) Tasco? it seems solid. the turrets are tight and they seem to do what they are suppose to do. guess im just wondering if they all come from the same conveyor belt in china.

bet that would cut some weight off of my 24" bull!!! and give me an excuse for crappy groups :P

and..by some complete bizzaroworld logic...they are using the ATFs massive screw-up known as "fast and furious" as an example of why we need tighter gun control. it hurts to even think about it.

i used that krylon cammo ultra flat paint on a synthetic ATI stock on a beater M44, and my father-in-laws old plinker AR15. it looks nice and has held up really well. i dont make a habit of throwing my guns around but both have been handled alot with no flaking.

love that handguard. looks so much nicer than my hideous DPMS stock tube.

we are functional! just need a firing pin retainer as we bent mine up during some aggressive bolt "fitting" lol. might need a cam pin also as we filed a little metal off of it to get the bolt head to rotate a little more, but it feels ok and seems to be functioning normally with the modded part. not a very high end build but im probably only out of pocket $500ish so it will do for now. (hooray for trades and gift cards) im floored by how heavy this monster is, but i guess shell be nice and steady on the bipod. bit different from my RRA AR with carbon tube and ace skelly stock. anyway... its a girl! ill do a proper intro/specs when i snap a cooler pic.
