  1. Sold...time to buy parts
  2. Woah. I don't know anything about boats....but I know that was a big kaboom!
  3. I'll still rock BUIS. Someone pointed out in the comments that those guys get whatever they need as far as gear and support, and most of their missions are intense but relatively short term, while the average grunt is stuck in some crap hole with little support for months at a time. Much more likely that the grunt will break something, and not be able to get it fixed or replaced, so BUIS are still a good idea for the little people.
  4. Pretty neat article. Interesting that alot of guys are ditching BUIS. Not to beat a dead horse...but his lancer mags are on their 3rd deployment and haven't crumbled in his hands...imagine that. http://www.defensereview.com/tactical-ar-15m4m4a1-carbine-aftermarket-accessories-for-military-combat-applications-the-competition-to-combat-crossover-part-iii/
  5. That's my point. Why are the threads different? DPMS built this platform from the ground up so why the hell would you introduce a proprietary thread pattern on your "universal" gun instead of going with an established spec with tons of aftermarket support? I think they had potential to own the market with this but missed the mark at the design table. Shame. Not really a question any if us can answer, just thinking out loud.
  6. For being touted as a "universal" platform it sure has alot of proprietary parts. I understand the larger chamber prevents them from using an AR15 barrel nut, but why not use a LR308 barrel nut so you could at least use commonly available handguards?
  7. Bump. $52 shipped.
  8. I hadn't heard about that, but Google took me right to the info/registration page. Looks like a similar program to what trijicon started and then bailed out on. Might do it just to see the deals! Good on vortex. Also...Welcome!
  9. Two stores I never shop at...becoming one store I'll probably never shop at!
  10. That's why I sell all my guns in face to face transfers as soon as I buy them lol
  11. One of those things that would be an OK idea if our government wasn't so fcking corrupt. Same with most of the survalence crap.
  12. Nice work
  13. Agree...it's been a while
  14. Can't say I've ever heard anything good about them. One of the many businesses that owes it's success to the great gun parts shortage. When all the reputable places went dry, the bottom feeders cleaned up with huge profit margins on low end stuff. Zombie thread response for relevancy...redX still sucks.
  15. Dude...he read it on a forum. Lancers crumble in your hands and cinder block walls will scratch your PMAGs.
  16. I know some folks have used magpul AR15 handguards on 308s, but I have no personal experience. All my guns have PRI rails so I can't check barrel nut fitment.
  17. Nope. They are machined in.
  18. DI drop in ultra slim carbine 5.56 quad rail. Excellent condition. Very sold. $60 shipped. Consider trade for a 5.56 flat top upper http://damageindustries.co/index.php?route=product/product&path=62_81_96&product_id=336
  19. Soooo it's capable of using the industry standard 762 magazine....BUT.....we went ahead and stuck a magwell adapter on there on the chance you would rather use our proprietary and no doubt very expensive mags. Good call!
  20. Someone asked about that on ARF and Wilson responded it was good for 14.5 http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_124/702039_New_Wilson_Combat_Q_Comp_The_Quiet_Muzzle_Brake_Flashider__59_95.html Looks like 2.2" from the chart here http://shopwilsoncombat.com/mobile/Wilson-Combat-Q-Comp-1_2x28-Thread/productinfo/TR-QCOMP-1\2X28/
  21. Sold
