  1. COOL!! That looks awesome! Hay, is that Addax Tactical's multi-caliber billet lower receiver?
  2. I love their attitude. But I doubt it'll be very effective, if at all.
  3. Yep. I originally went with gold but gold didn't fit well with the surrounding colors, so I went to red.
  4. HECK YEAH!! I am waiting for some materials to arrive for making cocobolo pistol grips. I may keep one and either sell the other or give it to Mr. Robobot. Either way, I think Cocobolo will probably make a nice finishing touch to that set.
  5. Here you go. For some reason my camera blurred up every attempt at a straight side shot. Probably just time of day and need for a new camera.
  6. I have this receiver on my Ar-15. It's built like a tank.
  7. I put money on there being some critical inside details to this that we're not getting.
  8. I'm thinking about making some custom synthetic grips. I may get your pistol grips from you if I do.
  9. Mr. Robobot. Back when Magpul wasn't making anything but their... well, magpul device, I was sketching up and even prototyping some rifle furniture that looked suspiciously like most of what Magpul is producing now and some of my unique features now scattered among various magpul products. I shouldn't have to tell you that I have refined the snot out of them but unfortunately lack the resources and ambition to do anything with them. If I WERE producing my own designs, I'd take them over Magpul any day. Get that project of yours going and YOU'LL be making a better product. Dozens of my ideas have been ripped off by the gun industry. In every single case, they watered down their "rip off" product from the original design.
  10. I just got mine in the mail today. I am very happy with it. I always though the original ACS was a great design but had the fatal flaw (at least as far as my wallet goes) of having those battery compartments on the side, making it way too bloated for my taste. So when I learned that Magpul now makes one without the battery compartments (ACS-L or Adaptable Carbine/Storage - Light) I immediately ordered it. I attached it to my .308 and it proved to be a tight and perfect fit. I don't have (or want) a regular ACS to compare it to but based on what I have seen and remember, it appears that the width is right in between the Magpul MOE butt and the regular ACS butt. This actually turned out to be perfect. It doesn't bloat out enough to interfere with handling or anything but bulky enough to give you a good cheek mounting platform. Both look and feel are just right. On top of all that; unlike the ACS, the ACS-L doesn't need an external tool to remove the butt from the buffer tube. It comes off the same way as the MOE butt. In fact, I think the butt adjustment and take down parts on the ACS-L are exactly the same as on the MOE. I know it's a matter of personal preference here but the fitting of the stock as a whole matches my body perfectly. I figured I'd get this to hold me over until I could afford a UBR and then sell it. But I like the ACS-L so much that I think I am going to stay with it and skip the UBR. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Now I just need to get one for my AR-15. So, if you like the ACS design but dislike it's "bloated" side profile, the ACS-L will probably be the stock for you. Oh, and it's also between $20 and $30 cheaper then the regular ACS.
  11. Ordered a Magpul ACS-L butt. The Magpul ACS has driven me nuts. The stock is so close to perfect (save for the UBR that is beyond my budget), yet the bloated width of the battery compartments killed it for me. The other day I was snooping around on Magpul's website, trying to find out if the new .308 mag would be offered in multiple colors and thought I'd take a peak at the grips, forends and butts to see if there was anything new I hadn't seen. I noticed 2 different ACS stocks. I investigated and learned that the ACS-L is EXACTLY what I had been wishing they'd do with the ACS. I immediately went over to amazon.com to see if they had one. They not only had it in the color I wanted (OD Green) but for over $20 less then the regular ACS and free shipping! Needless to say, I ordered it IMMEDIATELY! I probably would have ordered it from Midway or Brownells, but Amazon.com also had a couple other things I needed that midway and brownells didn't and it would have been financially tough to order them all separately, spending up to $30 on shipping alone.
  12. I stopped by Sports Authority yesterday and saw .308 ammo listed for $10.99. They were out but the guy there said I missed it by only an hour and he was expecting more in a week or so. I couldn't figure out what brand, but the label perfectly matched the labels found only on other calibers of RWS brand ammo, so my guess is that's what it is. So if there's a sports authority in your area, you may want to check their ammo section. You just might get lucky. BTW, like some major retailers, they seamed to have not notably adjusted their ammo prices after Sandy Hook. And at least where I am, they don't seam to be getting allot of traffic in their gun section either.
  13. The more I have scientifically studied the function of peace and harmony, the more it became apparent that this country genuinely has no hope. It goes much deeper then the subjects of a few debates. It covers the very threads upon which our cultures and national structure are built. To save our country we would have to uproot everything upon which our lives are built. Thousands, even millions of Americans will literally defend to the death the very factors that are bringing this country down. There is no realistic solution to the problem anymore. At least not one that can be solved in the next couple decades, if even our lifetimes. TBH, there's going to have to be a 3rd world war. I am not saying this as some wacky "apocalypse seeker" but as a realist. It all has to do with population growth and the breakdown of education. As populations grow, it becomes harder to educate and people start acting like wild animals. Nature's answer is to thin the population back down. This happens routinely in the Animal kingdom as well as in the world of human beings. Right now, we're making a heavy effort to prevent it but eventually we're going to loose control and that part of nature is going to explode. Exactly how it will, I don't know, but it has to happen. The laws of nature demand it.
  14. CUTE!!
  15. Whether or not the movement is real I don't know but I DO know that both of the protester photos were shopped. The way it's written also sounds suspicious. There's allot of "Hollywood" cult language in there, as if to suggest the author isn't very serious about it. My only doubt comes from the fact that nowadays people are dumb enough to actually behave like that and mean it.
  16. It won't let me sign up.
  17. Don't worry guys, this hearing is helping allot with my boycott research and list.
  18. CUTE!!! That whole video was like watching a cartoon. Like watching Chip or Dale going at it.
  19. MaDuce

    Gayl Trotter

Anyone catch her in the Senate hearing? I've never heard of her before but I am starting to really like her!!
  20. what channel?
  21. Republacy and democracy are two different things. The only thing that's really changed about the democratic party over time is it's become more pure and true. Andrew Jackson on the other hand was a real POS. What Hitler was to the Jews, he was to the Native Americans. The fact that his face is on a dollar bill still gets my blood boiling.
  22. Can't say I'm surprised. It's not about principal. It's about the mighty dollar and power.
  23. Just a little beyond what I can afford. If by some miracle people who have owed me $ for months come through, I'll let you know.
  24. Couldn't afford it if I wanted it (barrel's too long for my taste), but if you're willing to send me one of those mags disassembled, I'd be open to buying one of them from you. IM me if you're open to it.
