  1. My '67 Jeepster Commando had A Buick V-6. A 235. Jeep used FIVE different incarnations of that engine that year. All of them had interchangeable parts. Except for mine. :ugone2far: :fawkdance: Took a proprietary distributor cap, on a proprietary distributor, that none of the other distributors would fit. Only like 430+ rolled off the assembly line with that engine. The dude at Willy's Works in Tucson said "Yeah, you got the crap engine. Most people just re-engine them." Or sell it.
  2. <laughs> I'm definately in!
  3. I thought that Dauntless 235 V-6 he mentioned was a V-6...not a slant 6.
  4. I still think we need to take up a collection for a 1st Class round trip ticket for him to come shoot with us. He'd totally do it!
  5. That is SWEET! Can't wait to shoot it! In the spirit of Tim Taylor... Have you found the dude that does the 9mm Magnum conversions?
  6. 58# draw!
  7. Awesome! New tires and I like the tiger stripe idea! <lmao> <laughs>
  8. I think R2 is going to need another MRAD for one of THOSE BIPODS!
  9. Dude makes Popeye's forearms look skinny.
  10. All I remember was within days people that had backorders for magazines with CTD said they were cancelled, and SURPLUS used GI AR magazines were priced at $99. IN THE NECK!! With a semi-sharp stick!
  11. You got it brother! We're putting together custom tailored "Training Days" now. Force-on-force, stick fighting, knife fighting, simulator, live fire, personal armorer, evasion and kidnapping escape, etc. Or we can just go roll around in the dirt at the range while issuing challenges and betting all day.
  12. No. They don't get it. Their ancestors that had issues with authority left...and came to the United States of America. So they could own firearms and have a say in their own destiny. On one of these group international rants one time, everyone of these foreigners was saying how they needed to send in troops and TAKE our guns. I queried "Who's going to take them? German troops? French troops? The whole damn United Nations? Pool together your army of 10 million confiscators and see how long they last against 1% of our armed population."
  13. <laughs> But you're right. Shooting my XDM 3.8 .45 while running drills, doing a mag change I PINCHED my had so phucking hard! Had a blood blister for a month. Full-sized grip.
  14. Stats aren't good for any handgun caliber at making them push up daisies. 85% or so survival rate. Compare that with a 65% or so lethality rate of knives. Users of both probably have minimal training towards employing either in a fight for their life. The major difference is people use knives all the time. ALL THE TIME. Correlating slicing and piercing on a daily basis to slicing and piercing an adversary is a short line to cross. Correlating going to the range twice a year, planting your feet and holding rock steady while slowly squeezing the trigger, to make tiny groups of holes in the target...to protecting your head-torso-pistol while deflecting an attacker's weapon and making sure your muzzle stays trained upon that adversary, while getting off meaningful decently placed shots, without passing plugs through your wife/husband/child/friend. TRAIN! TRAIN! TRAIN!
  15. Look up the videos of the hunters in Africa doing Grand Slam hunting with the .460 S&W Magnum.
  16. Me either! And as soon as anyone says "Cheaper Than Dirt has..." I interrupt and say "I'll never buy anything from them, after the crap they pulled following Sandy Hook."
  17. Welcome from AZ j.peace! Not me...if they aren't returning calls or email it is a good indication they don't want your business.
  18. Ironically, I want one of these! http://www.crossbreedholsters.com/BedsideBackup.aspx
  19. But I already have one in each barrel length. For the single stack mag I want the 4" with the full-sized grip. Shouldn't be too much longer.
  20. Almost did it. Still want that full-size grip.
  21. The serial numbered receiver is the controlled portion and all the feds care about. Unless it's Friday, or a holliday, or cellophane remembrance day, or they just need something to do.
  22. Wow! Glad you're here now SS! Have a buddy in a rural area who armed his daughters with 10/22s in each of their bedrooms, with a stack of 25-round magazines. Their drill was to barricade and let lead fly if anyone tried coming in.
  23. I've posted about this awesome weapon before! Standard issue to the Austrian army in 1780, a full 11 years before the 2nd Amendment was enacted. When people say "They had no idea about rapid fire and 20-round magazines back then," show them this video. This video goes into the whole mechanism of the rifle more, and the kit the soldiers were issued.
