  1. Make sure he adopts Robo before you get in Robo's will.
  2. How? I'm easily distracted. Started with a guy posting a video on how to elevate any sidecar wheel on his rig with just a 2"x4". From that post he had another showing a dozen or so BIG restored farm engines at a fair someplace, which linked to this video. Kent's Tools in Tucson has a big ol'honkin' belt drive drill press out front. Sweet! Granny had a hit-n-miss on her washing machine. First restored one was a small single cylinder a customer had. Really cool how, when you add load, it starts firing more often…those dudes were brilliant! I wanted to go to that big engine meet in Quartzite, AZ but my understanding is it isn't held there anymore.
  3. I love checking out the restorations people have done on old work equipment. This was particularly cool!
  4. But they also choose to take care of immigrants. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2284673/World-War-Two-heros-family-forced-sell-medals-pay-heros-care-home-fees.html
  5. I've thought about something in close to that caliber. However, I'd do away that that short neck and make it a slightly tapered straightwall cartridge. IIRC you could get something over .40 caliber. Should be a great mid-range thumper!
  6. What shotgun is that Phil?
  7. Bump this one back to life.
  8. Sweet, Terry! We'll expect a range report and pics! Of the rifle, not one of those pencil-stabbed targets.
  9. Welcome from free America, right next door!! Well…not financially free. Now that you're here you are obligated to be purchasing, spending, or be broke. Being broke is acceptable for longer periods of time, in direct proportion to the coolness of your last purchase.
  10. That reminds of that joke: What's the prettiest view of a woman? The top of her head.
  11. That thing is AWESOME!! Who was that guy that kept saying he was getting one but never did? Don't even remember now. Rsquared you ROCK!!
  12. Just got 307, erased the cookies and gave the magic 308 Muthafukas!!!
  13. Go for it! With one exception…get a 110BA in a caliber you can actually find brass for at this point. A .308 will eat the same food as your other pets. A .300 Win Mag you will at least be able to buy food for it. With GREAT glass on either one of the non-.338 Lapoopa-I-can't-find-brass options, you will have plenty left in your $5k budget for brass, bullets, primers, powder, and gas to get you to and from the range.
  14. That never stopped us from eating shipments from Mom (ANYONE'S Mom!!)!! Damn glad to have it.
  15. DNP stole my answer! My next guess was going to be a Star Model B.
  16. Cleaned my keyboard yesterday morning and everything was froze. Glad to see my fellow LAR-8 buddies made it to the show. Finally. Triple buddy…it's a new age. We measure with a meter stick now.
  17. Rattle the sabre with your local postal inspectors…ask them if they plan on finding out who is stealing your legally shipped firearms parts or if you need to ask BATF to investigate who in their employment is stealing gun parts, perhaps to assemble illegal weapons.
  18. A precision rifle system, perfected post-Cerberus/Freedom Group/Bushmaster, instead of a DPMS prototype. <laughs> :yup:
  19. That was almost too much! Who's in charge of the warning points?!?! FINALLY, we agree!! Buy, Rob, buy! Buy, Rob, buy!
  20. Nostalgia is expensive bro!
  21. Welcome aboard sneakymedic!!
  22. Glad all I have to keep straight is FAL mags and AR15 mags. Hunh? HUNH?!? :catfight: <laughs> Let me get some love brother Rene!!
  23. Welcome mmaher! Very cool information. That should be pretty easy sourcing out beef or pig hearts, livers, other organs too. Casa Grande is going to have a stinky range!
  24. I'd settle just for renting one for a week.
  25. Depends on the store. The LGS looks at my silhouette in the doorway, then they say "Turn on the money vacuum! Jon got some spare cash! Is it at least 4-digits worth this time, Jon?" At the Big Box store, the store security notifies them when I pull up in my truck. By the time I get inside, employees for the areas I frequent (starting wtih the knives and optics section) are lined up like spokes models on the Price Is Right, showboating their latest or coolest gadgets. By the time I make it to the hunting department, past knives/optics and camping, I'm usually on the hook for the cash in my pocket and rationalizing the use of plastic when I see there is ammo left over from the truck. The department manager on the phone usually has their back to me, saying to the person on the other end "…told you he isn't interested in the rifles we can't get ammo for, why can't you get us one of those .300 Win Mag Nemo's? Fine…he said he'll get two when his buddy in Phoenix finally gets that dam .338 Lapua," as they turn and fake notice me, "Oh hi, Jon! Gotta go…he's here now." I'm considering just having people make checks out to them or just paying me in gift cards.
