Nico's, Los Betos, Raliberto's, Julioberto's, Younameitberto's Mexican Food Fast! All over the place in Arizona... Give me some roller blades and a Bic lighter, I can blast my way to Phoenix in 35 minutes after that No15 Combo.

Magwa, one thing about BATF...they enforce stuff whether it is on the books or not. -

IIRC, Smith also sued the US military for making their own version of the Vortex. -
ATF's devastating new proposals to trusts LLC's and corp.'s

Correct. Now it will work it's way through the courts, as with the steel mills on page two of the article. Unless the wrong person is affected...then it will be reversed immediately with little fanfare. -
I know a dude that makes his own ammo...powder, projectiles, can fashion primers, only reuses the brass (but I don't doubt he can fashion workable cartridges). He's able to push both .30-06 and 7.62x54R to 1,800fps with no discernable leading and no gas check. For those using store bought powder, there seems to be a general consensus that powder burn-rate determines how fast you can push alloy-X down your barrel. Fast burning powders expose the projectile to the heat source for less time. While I've not loaded lead for the gas guns, what OhThreeOhTwo says above about oversize boolits bears true for handguns and manual-action rifles I've been giving homemade pills. I did a few "Ruger Only" .45 Colt loads with Red Dot and 255gr RNFP cast (no GC) that should've been well over 1,300 fps and never had any leading. Swaging is beyond my price range. Well, maybe not price range but beyond my cheap factor.

ATF's devastating new proposals to trusts LLC's and corp.'s

Don't think it will happen...with trusts at least. The puppet masters have trusts. They don't take kindly to being stepped upon. This will either go quietly away or be applied only to existing FFLs and expanded to those doing training/contracting. -

<laughs> After reading through that lawsuit filing... SEI claims they are the only ones using "forged barstock" to manufacture M14 receivers. LRB makes them, has photos on their website of the process, used to have photos of the spec sheet. On the forum posting, someone claimed that SEI had passed the buck to LRB for some manufacturing defect. Seems that something as small as that claim being inaccurate could sink their whole lawsuit. <dontknow> -
Wasn't there a movie review thread? Anyway, we just bought and watched RED, with Bruce Willis...very entertaining for the whole family! Yes, over the top stunts and what must be computer animation, liberal amounts of blasting and shooting, decent storyline, and a lot of very good actors having fun! I give it the 308AR forum top rating of Five Full Mags! Partially because Bruce Willis is pro-gun.

On the OP's link, a person in that forum posted references to two other pages bitching about SEI. warrifles.com and smithenterprisessucks.com Interesting that several people on that first page alone have offered to chip in for legal costs for the defendant. -

Thread started two days ago and is at 31 pages already?!?! JMO but there seem to be some real sheethead arms manufacturers in the Phoenix-metro area these days. Hate to see SEI in on it now...and blaming LRB to boot. -
Glad you got her under control! Glad you are safe too! Second blowout I had was on the front...piece of cake compared to the first blowout, which was my first time pulling a boat trailer on the rear of the truck.

What do you have on order or in the mail? Part 2
planeflyer21 replied to imschur's topic in General Discussion
Fort he first time in a long, LONG time... 500 rounds of 9mm ammo, 1000 lead .45 230gr boolits! Yeah baby! -
All great info! What happens when you're out falc-ing around, and wild hawks/falcons are in the area? I don't remember what the guy had here in S. AZ but they were BIG hawks...at least to a bunch of boyscouts. My sister had a neighbor at one point who was a licensed "wild life rehabilitator" or some such, people brought him wounded local wildlife and he nursed them back to health, at which point the AZ G&F decided if it could be released back into the wild or needed to go to a zoo/reserve area. What is the cutoff for the age of the birds where "imprinting" won't take anymore?

Upon hearing that her elderly grandfather had just passed away, Katie went straight to her grandparent's house to visit her 95 year-old grandmother and comfort her. When she asked how her grandfather had died, her grandmother replied, "He had a heart attack while we were making love on Sunday morning." Horrified, Katie told her grandmother that 2 people nearly 100 years old having sex would surely be asking for trouble. "Oh no, my dear," replied granny. "Many years ago, realizing our advanced age, we figured out the best time to do it was when the church bells would start to ring. It was just the right rhythm. Nice and slow and even. Nothing too strenuous, simply in on the Ding and out on the Dong."She paused to wipe away a tear, and continued, "He'd still be alive if the ice cream truck hadn't come along." http://www.youtube.com/embed/_43f9RzAqMM http://www.youtube.com/embed/2kpjnGWPmj0

Every AR magazine rack at Sportsman's was full last week...then the truck came, with a couple of shopping carts full of AR mags. Crap! I'm gonna have to build more rifles to take advantage of upcoming magazine sales!

Upgrading to Ultegra Di2 Shifters On My Synapse
planeflyer21 replied to imschur's topic in Outdoor Activities
Sweet, Drew! Been out of it so long I've never heard of electronic shifters. The Campanolo set on the ol' Bianchi was pretty darn easy to shift...probably not e-shift easy though. -
Bummer guys! We'll be doing another one...keep your eyes open!

Cool! When I was a kid, one of our assistant boyscout troop leaders had hawks and a falconry license. Badass birds...and HUGE! Any questions, eh... What are the most common type of raptors used for falconry? Anybody ever use small birds, like kites? Are there any raptors that are prohibited from being used in falconry? Despite wanting a bolt-action rifle and a compound bow now, the girl thinks it would be cool to get a hawk.

You dudes should've come out! Quite the riot all three days, even if a bit slow due to dove season starting. Best comments: "This thing is AWESOME!" Followed by "No, I hit the bad guy. Oh...it's calibrated dead on. Well, er, uuhhhh..." Going to hit the gunshows next.
