Wow, that really sucks...having to set a hook in your finger to explain why we didn't get a photo of the fish. <laughs> Seriously though, it seems like some body parts are magnetic around fish hooks...especially ears and those around my cousin's fishing poles.

I had a bit of an issue with my Vortex PST reticle going in and out at first. I really had to CRANK down on the battery cover to complete the circuit. Maybe that will work on this scope of yours? <dontknow>

Congrats Larry! I've always liked the Franchis...you'll enjoy that one. I've been to acouple of the Friends of the NRA banquets, as our shooting club gets a table every year. Both I went to, Big George sat to my right and both years he won rifles, a Mini14 Tactical first, a S&W M&P .22 second. I'm sitting on his right next month.
