  1. What?! Don't tell me I find myself in a group of liberals that are against the death penalty?!! <lmao> Jon
  2. Not the prank I had in mind but still pretty funny. Jon
  3. I told ya'll on the other thread...SUMTHIN' got out of that research lab in Miami. Bath salts is the cover. It probably isn't feasible to walk around with your 308AR locked-n-loaded, so make sure to take a criket bat with you everywhere. Jon
  4. Despite much lobbying by the local Victory dealership, it looks like Tucson is going with the Honda as well (after the Harley Davidson debacle). Most everyone else has BMWs locally. Jon
  5. Glad to know! I've definately been thinking about a build, the more I learn. Jon
  6. IF armed with a Hi-Point, I would close distance as fast as possible, and crush the skull of my attacker with it. Jon
  7. Sweet! Won't be long before that table is FULL and you're adding shelving. <laughs> Jon
  8. http://www.thermoldmagazines.com/ 3-for-1 on metric mags. Their inch mags look JUST like the RRAs...in photos Jon
  9. You guys are hellbound and determined to make me build a 308AR, aren't you? Mental note...side cocker. Jon
  10. You took time to come post?!? Get back there man! Jon
  11. I have two Taurus, one inheirited and the other was bought. Both run fine. The PT945 has done 600 round range sessions with zero hiccups, doesn't hiccup on the shorter ones either. Jon
  12. Gun shows used to be pretty cool...old people selling all sorts of neat things, certain vendors with very unique offerings, you could actually trade and wheel and deal. Then they seemed to all gravitate towards tack-T-cool everything. Then they jacked admission prices and started charging for parking, so I quit going. I shoot other people's reloads IF I know the people...and they shoot them first. Not too keen on purchasing reloads from others. Just my $1.95 (inflation, look around). Jon
  13. The girl and I pitched in on the Hornady Magnum ultrasonic cleaner. We should have enough deprimed today to try it out. Prior to that I'm using the Frankford Arsenal tumbler, with crushed walnut media. We get the walnut media from the feed store, 25#s for like $23...quite a bit less than any reloading supply. Jon
  14. It was well balanced and lighter than my Liberty. But not $3k after taxes light. Jon
  15. Alright! Glad it is working out for you bro! Anyone tried the FAL Thermolds yet? (me thinks these are the RRA maker) Jon
  16. <slowly reaching for .357 Magnum lever-action> That's real nice there...you comin' back from the dead and all. Just keep movin' real slow and keep away from everyone's face. Jon
  17. Anyone familiar with these? They are made in the Phoenix area and are PRICEY...was wondering if they are POF receivers. Jon
  18. Ssuuuuuuhhhhhh-WEET!! I got the same kit for students to use and now do all my load work-up on it. Get a different case chamferer...I got the Lyman, a bit more to hang onto. The RCBS primer pocket brushes in a dremel work great! Just get them locally, so you can check them in the package that the bristles are all straight, instead of cut at an angle. You are gonna have so much FUN!! Jon
  19. http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/ticket/obama-invokes-executive-privilege-holder-faces-contempt-vote-143710603.html Like this is any kind of surprise. Jon
  20. Too hard to say for me. I teach more handgun classes than anything else, so I feel a need to stay proficient with all of them. If frequency being shot is a factor, then the XD-M .45s are king right now. The 3.8 is my current daily carry. The 5.2, with a PRP trigger kit, recently digested about 400 rounds on one range trip. Which reminds me...I need to clean brass. Jon
  21. Doesn't open until NOON?!!? Sheesh...the county range here opens at 0800 and the line starts forming at 0720. As I'm an RSO, MSC opens when I get there. <laughs> Pima Pistol Club opens at like 0600 in the summer. We have empty houses here. Jon
  22. Howdy Dave! RRA has 3, 5, and 10 round magazines listed on their website. Jon
  23. Yeah, Tom, people like to scream about wind chill but don't think about that convection oven effect out here. Roofing as a newcomer?! You got a big brass set my friend!! <lmao> Back in the '90s Phoenix rebuilt the area where their "official" temperature station was at the airport...GOOD shade (there is a difference), lots of grass to keep it cool. The official Phoenix temperature dropped to about what Tucson's was...until the Tucson weather people pulled the same stunt. It is a given fact here: if you are at a picnic in July, just gotten your plate of food stacked high, drink and EVERYTHING else in your other hand, and are walking to the nearest shade to sit and eat, you WILL be attacked by a Dust Devil that has at least enough force to bend your plate. PLOP Sandblasted AND still hungry. Jon
  24. <sigh> Looks like I'm shoppiing for a new scope now. Jon
  25. Are you limiting him or is he banned from mine? :o Jon
