    RV shotgun

So, some arsehole broke into my 5th wheel RV last year and stole my Winchester 1200 12 ga. riotgun. It was stored at a 6' high chainlink enclosure behind my friend's gas station. We had a couple of suspects but the local P.D. has done squat about it. Whoever it was came back the next night and broke into my little Prowler boondocking RV to see if I had any guns in there too. (which I didn't) They literally cut through the back corner of the fence to get in. Needless to say. I'm now storing the 5th wheel at a storage facility that is right across from the Sheriff's Office and has great security. I had to replace the Winchester and I ended up buying a Mossberg Shockwave. It fits nicely in a nook right nest to my bed in the RV. I haven't shot it much, but I have put a dozen or so 00 Buck rounds through it and about 50 rounds of birdshot. It's not bad to shoot with the standard 00 Buck but it's a handful with the high power loads. I'm planning on picking up some of the 1 & 3/4 inch short shells and trying them out. If they work out I will most likely keep the gun loaded with them. I have already added a six round sidesaddle shell carrier to the gun that isn't shown in the pic below.
  3. Don't aggravate the situation! Mayra is already wanting a side by side! If we can find someone to buy Her Dodge Challenger so we can get out from under it I told her we could shop for a side by side. If that happens I will definitely be contacting you before anyone else.
  4. Picked up this Springfield Armory Prodigy 9mm a couple of months ago. USPSA started a new division, Limited Optics, which is just like it sounds, Limited gun with a slide mounted red dot. The division is only scored minor power factor so no reason to go any bigger than 9MM. As much as I love shooting iron sights in the Limited Division, my eyes aren't what they used to be and I think the red dot will help me be more competitive. It will definitely make it more fun! The second pic is with the Burris Fastfire mounted on it.
  5. I'm not sure if I want him meeting up with @sketch, Those two are too much alike and the state of Washington could suffer!
  6. Is this stuff still out there? The link now takes you to a site that doesn't list any lube.
  7. Not sure yet, he was doing an Air B&B for a while and looking for a house to buy. He's kind of picky about where he lives, doesn't want to be in an urban area at all. He said the other night he thought he found a hose but it's not final yet. I'm not even sure where the power company he is working for is out of. Lot of stuff going on with his mother (my ex-wife) who has had MS for years. They finally moved her to my daughter's home in AZ. He will be down here in a few weeks to continue dealing with that and I'll find out more when he is here.
  8. Oh....yeah, it has a hemi!
  9. Now ya'll know why I haven't been around here much. Took second place the last two years at the local car show. One thing led to another and the car has new repro seatcovers, new carpet and a new dash pad too. Damn dash pad was $1200!
  10. Two months and $5800 later;
  11. I took it down across the border and in two months it was done. They had to totally strip the body (about 4 different paint jobs) and they fixed a Rallye hood that I thought was trashed!
  12. I finally drug the Cuda out of storage and got it running. Did ya'll know that 4 year old unleaded gas is green, kinda like antifreeze green? Cable was froze up on the B&M shifter so I just put a whole new shifter in it. I had it parked in the driveway and after about a month my wife got tired of looking at it and told me "Just get the damn thing repainted!
  13. Yeah, now that he's back on the mainland I can get this hemi engine out of my garage that's been sitting under my workbench for 17 years!
  14. My oldest son just moved from Juneau AK to Washington state a couple of months ago. He got all of the contents of his gun safe into the state before all this schit went down. He was fully aware of what was happening when he moved. He loves the state itself, says it's a lot like Juneau, but hates the politics. He is a hard core Libertarian.
  15. At my age I value a good BM every day. Not only does it give me quiet time to contemplate the day ahead, but it makes my RN wife happy!
  16. Alright! My first appearance in several months and I managed to hijack a major thread! Awesome!!! Sorry @98Z5V, I'll go back to my corner now.😞
  17. Cortisone is a different shot, that's a steroid shot. After my first one it didn't do a damn thing for me. The lubrication shots are something altogether different, and sometimes they work and sometimes they don't. My insurance (a Medicare Advantage plan) covers the shots, I just have to pay a $35 copay for seeing a specialist. My knee surgery was only $175!
  18. I sailed through my Covid vacs too. Just to make you feel a little better, I've had a fukkin headache for two weeks now, it's one of the symptoms of shingles. It has seemed to ease off over the last few days though.
  19. Yeah, this crap has severely limited what I can do, and my times are so slow on stages at the local matches that require any kind of movement it's pathetic. If he can't get me back close to normal with the cleanup surgery and lubrication shots then I'm going to push for a joint replacement. Right now, I can't do anything that I have to get down on my knees for. You never realize just how much you do a certain thing while going through a normal day until you can't do it!
  20. Glad to hear that Sisco!
  21. Damn Doc, you're really up on this! He gave me a nerve medication but I didn't know what it was. Just went and looked and yup, It's gabapentin! The antiviral is valacyclovir. Mayra said it hasn't spread anymore and the lighter spots on my back and chest are fading away.
  22. Thanks for all the well wishes guys, it means a lot to me!
  23. My surgeon wants to put the right knee off as long as possible but said it will most likely be within the next 4 or 5 years. The left one has osteoarthritis too but it's not as bad as the right one. I have a friend that I've shot USPSA with for a couple of decades who had bilateral knee replacement. He told me "Whatever you do, DON"T do both of them at the same time!"
  24. Do it brother! Do it NOW! This schit sucks, and mine is apparently a milder case. I thought about getting the shingles vaccine and the pneumonia vaccine about a month ago and didn't do it. I am sorry I put it off.
