  1. Crickets!
  2. Jeffery, I gotta ask, did you ever fly on a plane with Bill Cosby?
  3. THAT is exactly what the U.S. Constitution does!
  4. Guys on the fire department here told me that electricity won't travel back up the water stream from a fire hose!
  5. Highest I've rappelled out of a chopper was 120'. That was a bit of a rush too!
  6. Yup! Put your shot in the T-zone and they drop like a sack of potatoes! They can be holding a gun to someone's head and they will never pull the trigger, instant lights out!
  7. Congrats on passing the course brother! I never doubted that you would. Once you get into USPSA/IPSC shooting you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner!
  8. Actually, both targets are used in USPSA and IPSC. The one on the left is the traditional target that has been in use since IPSC started. The one on the right is known as the 'Classic' target and was developed after the snowflakes started crying about shooting at "man shaped targets". Also, there is no longer a 'B' zone on the targets on the left, the B zone area is now part of the C zone. If you were shooting targets that had the B zone, they are leftovers from before the transition. This is what the revised targets look like;
  9. In my 23 years as a cop, I had more fun doing that than pretty much everything else we did! I would still do it if I had the opportunity!
  10. Bite you're tongue brother! I've never shot IDPA, those guys are too anal for me! I'm a USPSA shooter, which is the U.S. division of IPSC. I have not heard of the Black Badge course. Just googled it and it seems it's a Canada thing backed by IPSC and is used as a gateway into IPSC competition in Canada. CG, I would say that with your shooting experience you should have no problem getting your black badge. Let us know how it goes brother. Action pistol is competition is one of the most fun things you can get into in handgun shooting! I don't think you have IDPA up there in the great white north but it's probably for the best, those guys are REALLY anal! (They have a "Failure to do right" rule! No schitt!)
  11. I think it's time for me to retire this one and get a new one. The blue line is almost completely faded away!
  12. WAY too small for a tarantula hawk wasp! Those things are about 2" long! At least the ones here in New Mexico are.
  13. I can't say as I missed him, anyone else?
  14. We do it because we care about our fellow man and want to make a difference! If I was younger and my wife would let me, I'd still be out there doing the job. I miss it! Best fukkin job I ever had!!!
  15. That's why I only have 3000! We have picked them up whenever we were in Las Cruces or Tucson for other reasons. Pricewise it works out to around $60-$65 a thousand.
  16. The Sportsmans in this area have had a bunch of Fiocchi small pistol primers in the 150 ct. packs. They are limiting customers to two packs per day. Between me and my wife I have managed to accumulate about 3000 primers, and the closest Sportsmans is an hour away!😁
  17. I agree! I could use a thousand large pistol, I'm not greedy! (two thousand would be great though)😁
  18. Same here, I've got stuff that I loaded 40 years ago that is still dead on reliable..
  19. It was way too fukkin hot to go for a ride when I was there. Even after the sun went down. Damn good excuse to stay in the house and drink Jameson though. Yeah, that happened! It was great seeing you again brother!
  20. I have a 77 FLH that I may be selling!😁
  21. Yeah, these old Mopars have a lot better steering feel with a lot of caster, they weren't designed with a lot of steering input to the driver. When I had the engine out of my Cuda I took a portapower to it and spread the shock towers some to compensate for the years of stress. I also did some extra welds on the shock towers to minimize flexing. I just had my local front end guy do an alignment and he was able to get 3 degrees positive caster on both sides, and I can definitely tell the difference.
  22. Gotta love a black musclecar! Years back I had a 69 Roadrunner with a pretty much rustfree desert southwest body and no drivetrain, and I let it get away from me. I have no idea what I was thinking back then!
  23. Auditory exclusion, 23 years of being a street cop and yeah, it's real. It is a thing and I've experienced it more than once! Tom is being modest, as an Army Ranger and a combat veteran I know he has more experience than just bitchy women. he just doesn't want to go there! I understand.
  24. I don't have any pics of it! I guess I should take a couple the next time I get it out. Shouldn't be too long, the fresh water tank is leaking. I need to pull it out and either try to plastic weld it or buy a new tank. We're hoping to paint the outside of it later this summer.
  25. At 68 I'm all about 'glamping'! Here's my rig; A friend of ours took us to this site on the Mimbres River a couple of weekends ago, it's about an hour and a half from the house and we definitely plan on camping there later this summer. No way we could get that 5th wheel in there, but we have a little 20' Prowler and a portable generator for places like that.
