  1. Just found this over at the 1919 site, mostly shootings, he also found a link to the database it came from. http://1919a4.com/showthread.php?46293-List-of-School-Incidents-where-perps-were-on-psychotropic-drugs-or-in-withdrawal-from
  2. We had apaches and blackhawks 10 -15 at a time all around town and out here around the airport everyday for about a week straight just about a month ago, then nothing since.
  3. If mounting to a rail or any receiver with a flat on top a machinists adjustable parallel works very well, can even snug the screws with it wedged in there to keep it from rolling
  4. But wait, the liberal a-holes on tv say "nobody hunts with these things".
  5. I forgot the calipers I guess because they are standard equipment on every bench and in every tool box I have, that is why I suggested the rock chucker supreme kit because you will get almost everything you need in it, and will still use them after you get the 650, and can start with it even though you get the 650, I recommend this because you need to learn not only what your doing but why and doing them one thing at a time is the best way, there is a book called the a b c's of reloading that is very good, also I have tried several different types of case lube, the rcbs pad is very messy, the lee paste is good and not as messy but the Hornady one shot aerosol is great so far, easy, dries fast, no mess on you or the equipment and a quick tumble after loading removes it, even though it is so light that it could probably stay there and not hurt. Also one load manual won't be enough I ended up with the Speer, Lee, Hodgdon and a few of the small white spiral loadbooks.
  6. Same here, I got the rockchucker kit (you will always need the items in the kit) with the press, scale, powder measure, and other goodies, learned from that and then got the dillon 550, both are excellent quality, I can't imagine any progressive being better quality that the Dillon. Its pretty easy to turn out 100 rds. in 10 min. All you should need from Dillon is the 550b with the powder measure and priming system, primer flipper tray, and the caliber conversion kits to go with the die sets you will be using, they even sell the kit parts individual so if some of the cal. conv. kits use common parts you don't buy multiples. There is also a tool I had to buy seperately to align the priming system with the rotating turret in case you have to disassemble, I had to for cleaning. I don't think I have forgotten anything.
  7. She was on the Gunny's show Lock n Load once shooting a glock 18, we need a smiley that is drooling!
  8. Have never seen one of those, why is the grip and trigger guard so far to the rear? None of the AK's I have built from parts kits are like that.
  9. Whats wrong with stockpiling ammo? ;D
  10. Corsicana, that is too far east for me! I like it on this side of the Brazos, I am on a hunting lease east of Huntsville, I have never seen so many people running around with eye patches, I see at least 1 or 2 every time I go there.
  11. Welcome! I am in Brenham, have been to the range at Carter's Country a few times, I think that is considered Spring though. Lots of good folks and info here. There is a good reloading store on Jones rd. in N.W. Houston called 10 ring. Rcbs and Dillon equipment here very happy with both.
  12. I guess he got hold of the end of a ring and pulled it out? I didn't think they would come out like that.
  13. If he can't get it out I can probably get it done in a edm, will check, probably at no cost rather than cut up the carrier.
  14. Which category is Holder going to fall under, wait, he already slipped through the cracks!
  15. Well I took mine apart and it goes back just as far as yours but doesn't get stuck. There is a relief cut at the back of the gas ring bore and it tapers out to the larger dia. but yours could have a sharp edge there. I would'nt try to drill you probably will get little pieces of drill bit in there rather than pieces of the rings. Do you know anyone that works at a machine shop? If they have a tap burner (small e.d.m.) they could burn out a section of the rings opposite the gaps and not even touch anything else. I thought about using a grease gun to push it out (5000psi) but there are too many holes to plug. Other than that I am out of ideas, last resort would be brute force, put the head of the bolt in a bearing seperator and use a punch and BFH through the seperator to drive the carrier off the bolt, if it boogers up the front outer edge of the carrier that can be dealt with.
  16. I will check my carrier and bolt when Obongo and uncle Joe are done fucking me!
  17. I like dealing with them too, but right now they understandably aren't taking walk ins :(. They are working hard to catch up but it will take time I'm sure, they were unloading pallets of ammo yesterday when I was out there.
  18. They have 20,000 orders to fill! poop! Talk about pressure and not feeling like your getting anything done. They need to work 3 shifts.
  19. I told him to have everything done, account and specs of the rifle, when will they want the ffl's info?
  20. A freind that waited too long (I told him!) wants to order one, once he places his order after the 22nd does any one know how long they take? I know it's hard to say, but, weeks? Months? ????
  21. There was a post describing how they open up ordering at midnight and what to do, does anyone know where that post is?
  22. is it just a chip or shaving stuck in the firing pin hole? Try to get it out with a nail or punch? Did you try some light oil or penetrating oil on the gas rings? Could there be a burr on that gas port hole that the rings are catching? Try a small punch or pick to push on the rings one at a time to get them started past the front edge of that gas port hole.
  23. Thank's that was wonderful! I remember the days of the baby bump and alien movements, they do put a serious cramp in your social agenda.
  24. How did we go from naked women to a rockchucker kit? ??? I think somebody needs to get out more <laughs>
  25. I give the boresnakes a big thumbs up too, "one pull and squeaky clean".
