  1. That guy is impressive, some skills, the only weapon I need is my keys, I am going to cut up my CHL and go give all of my guns and ammo away first thing in the morning! All I can say about the picture that planeflyer posted is WOW! I have to go to the bathroom now.
  2. Ya it's crazy but that is pretty much what I have been seeing them go for too. I also bought one for $99 at Ace hardware here in town in about 1992, 20 rounds of ammo was $1.79! The only gun I ever sold and I would like to kick my own ass every time I think about it.
  3. I had exactly the same thought! Glad to share Wideners has new pulldown primed brass, but kind of pricey and still has the tar in the neck. I guess I'm just a cheap ass.
  4. In stock at old sarges drop zone,http://oldsargesdropzone.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7&products_id=548 I have bought from them before with no issues, just got 500 thought I would pass it along.
  5. who is that guy? didn't I read a post very similar to that here?
  6. Whao! That might get me some warning points.
  7. I bet that beaver could kick a deer's ass!
  8. I wonder if that pic is real or photoshop?
  9. I will pull the forend and measure, I can reprofile if I know what diameters are safe, I have 15 years machining and personal lathes up to 21x120, but this will probably go in a cnc so I don't have to mess with the tapers. As long as I don't go too small will it hurt anything? I know from experience that steel parts can "move" when a lot of material is removed.
  10. The duracoat showed up yesterday but it is a solid, knurled type free float and I am going to put it in the mill and use my super spacer to put in a pattern of slots and holes to shed a little weight. I will have to measure but the barrel is very heavy (dia.) under the handguard, heavier than it needs to be I think, do any of the barrel manufacturers list their barrel profiles on the net. If it is way bigger then I may turn it down a bit but would not go down to the minimum for safety reasons.
  11. I have been buying local because we got a very well stocked (had 5k guns in stock) local gun pusher, but they announced a 50% off sale may 1st on everything but guns ammo and mags, I went in and my friend the owner has been out for 6-8 weeks and his brother and a new guy are running it. I saw all used guns gone and computer desks in their place (somethings fishy), a lot of new emplyoees and gun inventory down to probably 40% of what it has been for 5 years, the sale is moving lots of merchandise but nothing new coming in and walls are bare of even the hooks. He started selling real heavy on Gunbroker about 3 months back (he did .5 million in sales in first 3 days) WOW! Today I went out and they almost filled a UPS truck to the top with shipments. I believe he is getting out of retail, guns go to highest bidder on the net, no one beating him down on price, will have only a few employees, all of this means less stress and won't have to mess with the accessories, this sucks!
  12. Not as hard as packing all of that out.
  13. I was wondering if that would show up, who is gonna buy one and review it?
  14. wideners shows once fired lake city and unfired primed pulldown lake city in stock
  15. I got it on already, I used he short screw that came with the stock and removed the spacer but have not been able to go to the range yet.
  16. I am going to drill and tap my current gas block does anyone know what size and pitch most of the maufacturers use for the adjustment screw?
  17. Is there such a thing as excessive hoarding when it comes to firearms, ammo, and pizza?
  18. A Feinstein poster would work much better!
  19. I don't like black and am a redhead so red is out for me but just about anything else goes, a poll sounds like a good idea.
  20. I like my 10-22 but my absolute favorite is my Winchester 1890, then win. 62a, then the henry golden boy, the ruger is in 4th spot.
  21. You should make a little bit for your time and effort if nothing else, I am in business for myself I know time is valuable.
  22. is there enough interest for the stars and stripes and od/fde? If cost is $10 what will our price be? If not too bad and 100% cotton I would be in for 2 of the s&s and about 6 of the od/fde.
  23. 308 with the flag background, and one with the o.d./earth color, also would be interested in a few stickers if these get made
  24. Unless she had a serious family history of breast cancer or cancer in general I would call it retarded.
