Do they update their site if something does come available? Should I just check every day? Do they do backorders? Looking for a 80% lower, I know they are busy and don't want to waste their time by calling, or should I just give up until all this B.S. blows over?

My wife has the tax problem but I don't, this just means I will report even less cash that comes in my shop!

You got that right! The only thing I don't like about living here is the climate, I am too damned fat for the summer heat! :D

I watch it every day for just that reason, Dana is soooo hot! I thought having my pants down when watching was normal?

No worries, no offense taken. I stay very familiar as far as safe handling, loading, unloading, and clearing jams, as well as shooting but definitely lack the type of training you are talking about (you could probably tell this by my lack of confidence concerning open carry). I am in the process of researching training in my area to see what is available. I am located halfway between Austin and Houston, does anyone have any suggestions or experiences with any training facility in this area?

That is a good question, I hoped for it for a while, but am concerned with my carry weapon being visible, it gives bad people ideas, and there is always a bigger chance of it getting taken away when it is exposed. It would really suck to get shot with my own gun!

Feinstein Goes For Broke With New Gun-Ban Bill
texas30cal replied to Pappy1600's topic in General Discussion
Ok, how about they are just breathing air good people could be breathing. Or I wouldn't piss in their mouths if their guts were on fire. -
Didn't we hear the first day that he used 2 handguns and a evil bushmaster? Then we heard from the med. examiner that all of the victims suffered multiple rifle wounds? Now I haven't seen, but have heard of a video showing law enforcement removing said evil bushmaster from the car and clearing the weapon of live ammo. Is this true?

Feinstein Goes For Broke With New Gun-Ban Bill

Feinstien, Pelosi, Clinton, Bloomberg, Cuomo, and Biden should all be taken out to sea, covered in chum and thrown into shark infested waters. Wait, that may be too good for them. -
Yep and the taxpayers kept him alive for 17 years if I remember right.

The sick bastard killed his grandmother with a hammer! He never should have gotten out.

Are yall looking for 5.56 p mags? The local gun superstore here has hundreds yesterday, I saw cases of them in the warehouse, black, tan, green and with or without windows. Independence firearms you can find their website with phone number but they havent set up online ordering yet but I believe they do mail orders.

Concerning her opinion of Dick's. I have never been to a dick's store, but I understand they have something like 500. Lets assume that they have 2 million worth of guns in stock (that is probably very low), what will they be worth after sitting on them for a while until no one else has any ar's to speak of ? Because we know they are not going to scrap them. If there does end up being a a.w. ban their guns have already left the manufacturer and should still be transferable, NOW what are they worth? They will be the only ones in the middle of the desert serving cold beer! Whoever at Dick's decided to do this is a genius, get the good press now and look like a angel, make out like a bandit later.

Questions about sights on my M1a loaded
texas30cal replied to texas30cal's topic in Competitive Shooter
Thank's for the replies, I meant that the front is clear but the rear is very blurry, but I understand I can't focus on both. Is that what the diopter is for? -
I didn't really know where to post this, move if necessary. The rifle shoots great but the hole in the rear sight is so large that when focusing on the front sight it is very hard to tell if I have the front sight in the center, also it is very blurry to me, I understand that I can't focus on both at once, but I can't even make out the edge of the hole. My eyes aren't perfect but could they be the problem? I don't have any problem with any of my pistol sights but even my 10-22 and henry 22 look the same way to me. Is this what the sight with the hood and smaller hole is for? I also saw a gentleman that actually makes lenses that go in the hood, does anyone know anything about these?

I guess they are out?

Anyone know where 5.56 betas are in stock?

Glad to hear you didnt get hurt, like said the last line of defense is to always point in a safe direction, I had my first (a doubletap) and hopefully last a while back. It was definitely my fault, I was test fitting a mag in a AK after grinding the rails to fit the first mag and did not realize the mag I grabbed had 2 rounds in it. The rifle was pointed up with the butt on the bench and the bottom facing me, was holding with my left hand by the top cover with the bolt locked open, inserted the mag a couple of times and released the bolt by accident when my left pinky finger was in the trigger guard. I sat there motionless for a good half hour, emptied every mag I owned, cleaned up and patched the hole in my new metal roof. I hope it never happens again. Always point in a safe direction. I was at independence firearms last week, a very large gun store near my house ( a bad thing) 5k guns in stock ( a very bad thing), and had 3 employees and a deputy sheriff who was working security for them all muzzle sweep me within 2 or 3 minutes!

That is 100% correct, we have only 1, she is almost 3, the single best thing I ever did but EVERYTHING changes I can't imagine having 2 at a time. Looks like a good machine, you sound like me, if it is worth buying its worth buying good quality, and always get one that is bigger than you HAVE to have, Husky's are top notch.

All good advice, definitely start out single stage.

I like my salmon blackened, but for my rocky mountain/San Juan Mountain rainbows I still like to fry whole, milk then light cornmeal in a cast iron dutch oven. Simple but hard to beat.

Im a little pissed at Armalite.
texas30cal replied to Mr B's topic in AR-10 General, Technical Discussion
I just got a springfield m1a loaded ($1500) and it had a small alount of brass on the face of the bolt and some residue in the barrrel, but no scratches, the little bit of dirt I don't mind since I know it actually got testfired and didn't miss that crucial step in Q.C.
