50 yards is good lot of guys around me use them as deer guns cuz before about 5 years ago southern wi was shot gun only deer season. Most guys can hit a pie plate at 50 yards with 870 grade gun The wood is beautiful ive got an old 870 house gun to the sound of racking one in the chamber should be enough to make a bad guy poop him self
