Ahhhhh yes, it's about two brothers on vacation from Chicago with their families I'm convinced they're suppose to be in minaqua. I've never actually seen a bear deer hunting up there but we've seen plenty of sign. we've kicked em up while driveing, and that totally makes sense with baiting.

Agreed, wash was telling me how he did a piece of meat tho wear he set it to 375 once the smoker got there he put the meat in and set it to 250 I couldn't do that in mine

What Rene and wash said about going to 500* is one thing I wish my masterbuilt did BUT has never hampered my ability to smoke anything....

I use electric, I'd like like to build a coal smoke house. That being said I've got a master built up right smoker. My only complaint was it didn't seem to put out enough smoke, so I added a smoke daddy smoke attachment. Agreed I was going off the idea that the transformer would be outside the safe. One reason we have switched to led lighting in refrigeration cases tho besides the electrical savings is the heat put off by the lights and driver are far less than florescent bulbs and ballast like in older models

That converter isn't any different then say your cell phone charger it may get a touch warm but I doubt it's going to melt down. We use them in refrigeration cases, just don't barrie it in a pile of stuff and it'll be fine

Little late to this but I put a keyhole MWI hand guard on my DPMS I really like it flows nice took off a pound or so and a lot easier on the hands than the quad rail

Roasts are really fatty suppose to be good smoked

300 miles is a bit of a hike, I've got a farm ploted out with a friend in northwestern il on the wi il boarder. Been thinking bout this the past couple of days. My truck hardly ever has more than a half tank of gas. Work van on the other hand is usually always gassed up and has lots of tools that could be very helpful, but we'll never know how to deal with it till it happens, but I'd rather be safe than sorry
