I think your going to need some type of anvil for the priming compound to compress against but I don't even know what the difference is between the two different cups and the amount of fill in the cups.

I think your close to my thinking but not quite their. I'm talking about using boxer cases so you don't have to mess with the berdan case at all. Lets say after you deprime and size your Winchester .308 case you take the used anvil out of the spent Winchester primer put it in the berdan primer and seat it in your Winchester case. Think this would work or are you going to detonate the primer during the seating process?

This is why I went with the Lee Classic turret press, remove the index rod and poof instant single stage for my rifle rounds. When I need to crank out some pistol rounds re install the indexing rod with the right caliber turret head and poof your producing 100 + rounds an hour <thumbsup> I won't say its the best of both worlds but it a good in between progressive and single.

I've sometimes wounder if you can take an anvil from a spent boxer primer then put it in the berdan primer then seat it in a boxer case and use like normal. So is me nuts or plausible. :cookoo:

Went to the show today and a strange thing happened my wallet went on a diet and lost weight :o . I managed to find 500 170 gr sierra game king .30-30 bullets along with an shell plate holder but no dies all sold out :o I couldn't believe that even the .30-30 dies were impossible to find. But on my way home I stopped at the local gun store and took their last RCBS 2 die set. Seemed to be alot of AR15 mags for $30.00 or higher not many people buying. Alot of ar's to didn't price any so don't know if there still trying to gouge people or not, I can say this a friend of mine and me laughed in the face of this one vendor he asking $100.00 for a brick of .22 ammo (525 rounds) This little black case seemed to follow me out today lets see whats in it. Well lookie here a 1911 22 I've been wanting one for a while and finally made the jump. I know my wife likes shooting my Springfield 1911 but doesn't like the recoil so now we both shoot one and I've always wanted one to try at the bowling pin shoot I do sometimes.
