I do this on my own accord so don't follow my practices. (Disclaimer) I despise cleaning guns to my own demise.. I'd rather buy a new one. My sorry ass addiction lol. Keeps me honest, but this test of time comes with a consequence. I just had to find that edge. I wish I had video or pics of before, rather than after. But here is the results
I assembled a 9mm AR pistol and acquired a nice pile of ammo. So the build and test is when will it fail. I'll leave out the build components because it's an ammo issue. Dirty cheep ammo. Ñow worth 600$ I paid 169$ pre demic per 1k rnds.
I had many rounds of dirty fun up and until fail. Cci 115 gn practice ammo. This was and is great ammo. Reloadable brass.. hits the 100 yd steel in a 50 or 30 rnd glock mag fun.. pin pin ping. But my test was fulfilled unexpectedly. I figured it would not eject and or feed properly. Felt sluggish on a 33 rnd mag so I knew something was happening. At this point I have almost 2k rnds. I was inspired to shoot till the failure and was not let down. But don't try this at home.
I Was able to fire 5 more rounds and had to drop the mag and clear a spent case.. fired 2 more and the same but different mag. Cleared and had a hand purchase on the mag. Fired one more , and a second. That's when he knew he fucked up... my hand and face took some brass but my eye pro I think is key. I'll clean my tools more often now. 😌
