  1. No I never had the pleasure of meeting Matt but he is a fantastic drummer... good for him hanging it up while he is still relatively a young man so many hold on and they are but a shell of what they were in the beginning...
  2. Hey 98, that 260 is shooting above the waterline yes?............LMFAO and on shake that thing you know if you hit it in the center it will not shake like that!!!!!!!! 😁
  3. Eff it I will bring Fat Alice and shoot against that superior (cough cough) 260....... LMAO
  4. @BigNate this is what it looks like on the gun...
  5. Wow Gentlemen , awesome shooting and spotting calls that looks like a really fun match to shoot ok need the rules on guns what do you suggest? Deb and I may spend some time down there after the fall shoot like a month.... I am repeat not coming during the "this is hell "months ain't happening many congrats to you both and it is nice to see you brothers competing..... I also like to compete on or about anything I just have to figure it out I want 3 thousand yards this year and I will have it..... I will bring my own underwear.......I may need a gun i think 6.5 CM is a bit much for that kind of shooting need to stay on the target all the time ? right?
  6. Well then Welcome how about telling us about what guns you are into and what type of shooting you like to do .....
  7. hell yeah.......i'll be waiting.... :)
  8. How goes the battle with the beast?
  9. I used to carry 45 ACP for all my life but no more I can carry twice as much 9mm and 300 times more 22LR
  10. don't forget about your neck sizing mandrel it is one of the most important steps, setting neck tension, for me this was the single most improvement to lowSD and ES. As I have mentioned before I do Not use the decapping pin and ball that comes on the sizing die.. I take them out and use a large decapping die so my case neck does not get continually stretch back and forth. and after you fire the new cases you will have to bump your shoulder on the sizing die approx.2 thousands for the cases there is a ton of hands on work in this game but it is worth every step.
  11. Are you going to try and load these round in a progressive press? I would caution against this as they need to be one at a time so you can pay attention to every detail because in the ELR game it is all about details... just saying and their is a lot of hands on in reloading this stuff just my opinion... and your chronograph is your best friend in this game it is all about consistency...
  12. 😬 OH MY!
  13. Isn't the trick for 8.6 blackout that the twist is 1 n 3 ???????? the others you will be trying need a faster twist is that not correct?
  14. Buy the best dies you can, and you will need a micro seater die that will not be in the set I like wilson.. also a set of bullet mandrels to set case mouth tension, I always throw a powder charge from a balance beam and then put it on my digital scale and trickle to exact, one at a time . Do Not worry about seating depth till you find the right powder and charge weight for your rifle there are many ways to do it if you want my way PM me it works... Anneal after every firing, I do not tumble or clean my brass just the primer pocket.....
  15. That right there is the freeking truth ,I have shot stuff all my life I am really good at finding and killing stuff that is just me , but that is a different thing than ELR but yet it is the same, the distance is just farther I am a hunter and I approach ELR with that mindset I hunt targets, I see and have the equipment to make the shot then i do it. So making the mile and other shots did not surprise me but was a result of the work done to prepare to make that shot, gun ,scope, reloading components, understanding the air, wind, and where my target was....but after the 2280 and the bucket I knew my equipment was not up to snuff and I would need to learn more and get more to get as far as I can.. Go shoot that bitch at all the targets up to where you start to see limits coming then tackle the next phase but don't try and eat the Elephant before you kill it....
  16. that is a great video in many many different ways everything in life plays a part is you being where you are right now.......
  17. I have shot it to 2280 no problem at all seeing the target trace and impact... my pipe dream is also 3500 or so and I do not think I will be handicapped with 20 power the field of view gets to narrow much above that for me.....also the more power you use the worse the mirage gets and mirage can be a bitch but also your friend....and the Gen 1 6 to 20 in a 35 MM tube... you will be looking for more dial up after I would say 2400... and that is a whole other rabbit hole... Kalaes ,Night force, and another to look at in that 4000 range is No Compromise, they are made right here in my home town same as Night force... the original owner of NF started No compromise and they are OMG stellar Optics..I have shot all three and my eyes for 4 to 24 power can not tell a 2 grand difference..over my Razor but that is me and I am a old fart... so your Milage may vary....
  18. This is the scope I shoot it has the most dial up of any scope I have found 36 Mils up down and 36 mils windage, lifetime warranty,no questions asked even if your dog eats it....and if you look at the presicion rifle blog what the pro's use 1/2 of the top ten shooters are shooting vortex it has a 4.9 star rating, and it works for value, and quality the gen one which is the link is on sale for fathers day they are hard to find but I think they said 3 in stock it fit every criteria i asked comes with everything to get going sunshade scope covers ,has a nice red lit reticle.....I have been shooting one for 4 years ,took it off my 6.5x284 and put it on the 338 never looked back..my 2 cents oh and it is sexy as hell.... P.S. I shoot all my ELR at 16 to 18 power.... https://www.opticsplanet.com/v/rzr-52006-vortex-razor-hd-5-20x50-riflescope.html

  21. From a place you will never see ,comes a sound you will never hear!
  22. It is awesome you got a 338 Lapua I love the new butt stock.. and yes the higher the number the slipperier the bullet.. and slippery is what you want.that Mag pro will get you where you want to be as far as speed the only thing with it is watch the heat and or cold try to match the weather that you test in no extremes. yes I imagine it kicks like a mofo but dead weight will cure that....I have not as of yet worked with Atips but I know a guy who has I will pick his brain...time to get some nice boomstick.
