I hand loaded for over 35 years and when I sold all my bolt guns and other custom single shots I sold all my reloading gear I did a lot of custom wildcats 6mm284, 7mm STW,I made STW cases from 300 H&H cases before they were available commercially, turned necks annealed necks turned primer pocked inside and out did it all for accuracy, and was good at it but as I got into the semi auto rifles I just decided to buy ammo and keep everything simple.....

Ok not sure of where right of flint and steel is so I will name all the stuff starting from left to right.... bowdrill,bow,2 fire boards spindle,anchor rock, chagga fungus(best fire tender in the world) a piece of rawhide to catch the coal from the fire board,two tinder bundles one of cedar,bark and one of shavings,a round tin to carry tender in. 3 hand drills 2 with fire boards, just to the right of them two fire pistons these are awesome and can ignite a lot of different tenders ,to their right is a replica of a Hudsons bay fire tin complete with Magnifying glass and the round piece in the tin is a cover for the glass. coming down from that is a round tin with a hole in it for making char cloth,and bottom right are 5 fire strikers and a couple pieces of flint

a nine volt and steel wool works awesome so,, I can make a fire with a babe ruth candy bar and a empty coke can , can you figure out how without looking it up ?

yeah ones like that use a magnesium bar or something similar that you use the flint on a true flint and steel is just that a piece of steel and a rock (flint) but with a true flint and steel tinder or charred cloth of some type must be used to catch a spark it is a harder way to make a fire... leaning the hand drill or bow drill is a excellent skill to have...

No matter what you get have in it fire making supplies,fishing line and hooks and sinkers, a water pump with filter, a hawk or small hatchet, a small bow saw with extra blade, a good water container and a good quality nylon fly 10x10 and a roll of parachord with these things you can go anywhere and stay anywhere everything else is comfort dress accordingly a great firearm for a bugout bag is a kel tec PMR 30 you can protect yourself and kill anything including a grizzly.....

I have to ask why a 20 inch barrel that gun will easy be 10lbs plus probably more like 11and 1/2 that is a lot of gun to tote around hunting I use a 16 and have no problems getting 5 inch groups at 500 and for hunting or gongs that is plenty so get your 6.5 or which ever one you will use for hunting in a 16 and your gong barrel in 20...

LMFAO save money on this site? sorry run as fast as you can from this site have a priest do a exorcism on your brain so you can never find your way back cause this place is going to cost you money and lots of it lets see this site has probably cost me over 6 or 7 Grand....... yeah we have much to teach this young padawan.....:) So yes I lube all my guns normally when I clean them with Mobile one you will see as you use it the metal will just not take more but will be slick to the touch...just keep using it.... I run mobile one on all my guns the semi autos both rifle and pistols get the two week soak then when you clean them off they are very slick and I continue to clean with it throughout the guns life the stuff is amazing and bonds into the metal, a quart will last you a life time.....

Mobil one synthetic oil 30 wt just soak all your parts in the stuff after a while the metal simply will not take any more and stays slick easy to clean,since it bonds with metal easy to do and works the bcg, after soaking for a couple weeks is really great everything moves like it is on ball bearings...
