I would LOVE to see a video of you shooting this. I am not saying its impossible but I am saying that its very unlikely. Either way I like the M1 carbines and infact an M1 garand is my next rifle I am purchasing and I am interested in seeing how your mods end up. <munch>

Have you looked at the groupings photo's over on snipers hide ? If a $5k+ Precision rifle, custom loaded ammo with a pro shooter behind the controls can't do it........ I have my doubts about a mil surplus rifle that is not known for supreme accuracy being able to do it. If he is telling the truth he needs to be in talks with any of the big manufacturers about a full sponsorship and to qualify for the olympics.

Well I now have some more parts on order. Got a paladin adjustable gas block, mid length gas tube, bcm charging handle, JP captured spring, daemon tactical take down pins, houge grip, and geissele SSA-E fcg. Week after next its go-nogo guages, prs stock, and a compensator of some sort... Then OFF to the range to see how she shoots 8)

Either you are the worlds best shot with the worlds most accurate m1 carbine or you are slightly over stating the 30 round magazine through the same hole.......

its all about the carb work on the big bore bikes..........I have ridden an AF CR500 that was PURE butter with no hard hit just electric power from top to bottom. Then again I have ridden a factory box stock KX500 that was the most evil demon I have ever thrown my leg over.......I would still take a KTM 380sx with some modern suspension on it any day of the week.

I debated this one and am going witht the BCM instead. I can't justify the extra $$$$

I took heed in your advice and ordered the JP..... with that and the geissele trigger on order I guess I can start adding some BLING BLING aka PRS stock, heavy buffer& spring, bcm charging handle, badcass safety, adjustable gas block, etc.... to it when i get paid next. Hoping to have it on the range before Jan. 1 !

Springfield made an excellent model of the PTR that I have seen shoot sub moa. If you can find one of those they are great. The model you are looking for was made in Greece.

Debating the advantages of having a JP BCG now and waiting on a DPMS BCG to come in.... Any advice here ladies ? Fulton is OOS as well so my sources for a BCG is getting slim... The fulton phosphate is in stock but if I am going to spend $350 on one I might as well pony up the extra benjamin and get the JP......

If my cheapo psa ar15 can come in new with no marks on it. A high dollar high end weapon should come in the same way. He should be the one to put the wear marks on it not the oem manf. If it were a car or even a washing machine he would get a discount. I guess its all about perspective though. I know I would be unhappy about the whole deal.

You are 100% right to be pissed at armalite. Them sending out a blemished weapon is unacceptable. Your dealer should have stepped up and handled this for you.

Thats brutal what happened to Brian. I am pretty sure I rode with him a time or 2. I watched a stranger I was riding with die up on 181 and parked the bike and that took the wind out of my sails. I have been racing/riding offroad and mx for the last 5-6 years. Last Jan I ended breaking my leg/ankle on a supercross track and that ended my dirt days untill my 2 year old goes to school and my wife goes back to work.

Oh how I drooled over the black scheme with the ghost flames <thumbsup> I miss my street bike days. I will have another street bike and dirt bike both. What are you riding these day Troy ?

One of those FAL's needs some purdy WOOD furniture !! I have an Imbel FAL that is getting some wood when I finish my SR25. That is a well rounded collection. I want an HK91 but will most likely settle for a a greek sar8 or ptr....

They may shoot more accurately but they are not going to survive the rough n rugged conditions or shoot the garbage steel cased surplus ammo that the PTR or FAL will.... The tolerances are just to tight on the SR25/AR10..... I would not want to take my SR25 precision rifle in to battle as a primary weapons system. my AR15 or FAL would be much better suited to that role. But that is just my thoughts on the matter and I have never been to war or fired a weapon at some one so anything I say/think is pretty much worthless.

Battle Rifle ?? PTR-91 or my imbel FAL.... The SR25/AR10 simply isn't as durable but it is FAR more accurate.....

The barrel nut is the same threads at a DPMS barrel nut. I haven't had time to figure out anymore than that.

Are you honestly telling us that the temps and pressures in the barrel are in excess of 2,000 and are seeing pressures in excess of 45 kilobars for long periods of time ???? I want to know what the rifle is your are shooting at that level and what sort of custom loads and how you are maintaining that for extended periods of time. Come on buddy lets be real here carbon deposits and copper fouling are not good things at a certian point but none of us will EVER see diamonds or anything close to that.
