The art of leftovers is worthy of it's own thread. Amazing the awesome dishes you can concoct.

That is it in a nut shell. Best way to make a million, open a restaurant and spend two million doing it.
  3. Let’s wait until the next exit for lunch…….
  4. Borrowed an idea from NF1E and picked up one of these cheek risers from TNVC. A great product! Aligns my eye perfectly with the scope. Can't wait to shoot with it next week.
  5. Went from a high of 90F yesterday to a High of 58F today, with some wild storms last night and consistent rain today-which we needed.

Looks fantastic! Love me some monster smoked beef ribs. I smoked two pork shoulders yesterday, which pretty much look like all the other pork shoulders I have smoked and posted about. Food Saver bagged and froze 80% of it for quick meals Made up Mexican carne asada bowls with it the last two nights.
  8. Oh well, DPete has to face it to.
  9. 😳
  10. Shepp that all looks good. I haven’t done any canning this year, but might can up some coho salmon if it is a good fall.
  11. okay, in seven weeks you can decide for yourself how big I am.
  12. If your gonna be addicted, at least your addicted to 1911’s. So no, your okay.
  13. Nope, I am not that big.
  14. Itch scratched. Initial impressions: For being a standard size 1911 this thing is massive! That bull barrel adds some heft. The trigger is smooth as silk. easily the best I have found on a 1911. I was looking at a Dan Wesson 10mm 1911 that was $700 more and the trigger is comparable. Will report more after a range visit. As you can see it is a handful.

    Might be worth trying.
  16. Hydrogen electric hybrids are what I would put my money on. Toyota is focusing on them as well.
  17. Exactly!
  18. Ordered-on the way to my FFL guy. Probably the last firearm I will buy. I am taking a few in to be sold on consignment to make room. Nothing earthshaking, just need to get rid of some safe queens.
  19. They have gone way up. I saw a used one at a gun show pre Pandemic and passed on it. Now I wish I hadn’t.
  20. Had hellacious wind yesterday. Woke up to four footers in the Bay on Saturday. A cold front followed by calm winds today. Woke up this morning to 46F. We took off at 10AM for the Islands at 51F with jackets on the boat. Finally warmed up a bit in the afternoon. Did a little half hearted fishing, nothing biting but a nice day to be on the water. Wind kicked up from the NE when we got in and air temp went back down to the high 50’s.
  21. The Turks are making excellent forearms, but I decided to stay with USA in this case. Plus the Ruger is all stainless, a nice factor if I go to Alaska with all the rain.
  22. Four years later, the lust has returned. https://www.cdnnsports.com/catalog/product/view/id/27843/s/rugerr-sr1911r-10mm-stainless-target-sights/category/5/
  23. Yeah when I had my ‘75 International Scout I always carried two full spares. Needed to where I took that thing. Got complacent in my old age and paid the price.
  24. Great story.
