  1. That is a nice size doe. Had to skip deer season this year because of the eye. Today was opening day. Strange, only heard one shot. That is not good.
  2. Thank you Veterans for all you have done, and your sacrifices for us.🇺🇸❤️
  3. Sorry to hear that. Love that hill country near Ashville. Have friends in Bostic
  4. These places are cropping up now. Thanks for the heads up. Sorry about you getting ripped off.
  5. They were exceptional when I got a 300 Win Magnum from them.
  6. The History of the Middle Finger: Well, now......here's something I never knew before, and now that I know it, I feel compelled to send it on to my more intelligent friends in the hope that they, too, will feel edified. Before the Battle of Agincourt in 1415, the French, anticipating victory over the English, proposed to cut off the middle finger of all captured English soldiers. Without the middle finger it would be impossible to draw the renowned English longbow and therefore they would be incapable of fighting in the future. This famous English longbow was made of the native English Yew tree, and the act of drawing the longbow was known as 'plucking the yew' (or 'pluck yew'). Much to the bewilderment of the French, the English won a major upset and they began mocking the French by waving their middle fingers at the defeated French, saying, See, we can still pluck yew! Since 'pluck yew' is rather difficult to say, the difficult consonant cluster at the beginning has gradually changed to a labiodentalfricative 'F', and thus the words often used in conjunction with the one-finger-salute! It is also because of the pheasant feathers on the arrows used with the longbow that the symbolic gesture is known as 'giving the bird.' And yew thought yew knew every plucking thing. Didn't yew! 😛
  7. Just thinking, you know, just thinking. Will in due time. Gotta get my surgery out of the way first.
  8. Nope. I have always full sized my 308 ammo. Because I owned a pump for a while, I always full sized my 30-06 ammo as well. That was the recommendation early on and I never saw any reason to argue it.
  9. Scarce no more…….
  10. Too early for this, I have a Doctor's appointment in Minneapolis tomorrow!
  11. That is the way businesses are run today. Maximize profits by creating the appearance of a shortage. Oil Companies, Automobiles, Pharmaceuticals, etc., etc., ammo companies are just adopting it. Concentration of wealth in the hands of a few gives them the ability to manipulate and control the market and control us.
  12. First two times in Vancouver in the 80’s I fell in love with that town. It was cheap, had great food, beautiful women, and great night life. And Whistler was 2 hours away. Went back in 2004 and was shocked at the transition. Homeless Sleeping on the streets, open drug use, and a lot of sketchy people out and about. It’s like it got infected from U.S. cities. It was still nice, but frayed around the edges. And no longer cheap. Remember Robson Street and “A Kettle of Fish” restaurant. And the Granville Market and the Gaslight district.

What I met was sustained exercise shouldn’t be more then 80% of Max and I was above that. I phrased it poorly. My target was 120-125. Glad I got some bursts well above that though.
  14. Took a snowmobile up to the Continental divide in Colorado years ago, and two trips in Canada’s far north ice fishing. A lot of fun, just need to find a helmet big enough for my head. The last Canadian trip the guide bought mine from me because they have a hard time getting XXXL helmets.

Kept my heart rate above 100 for 72 straight minutes today. Peaked out at 138 which is above max for my age. Tired, but feeling good.

A quick note: Our Snap Fitness just got in my favorite type of stair master, an escalator type. This one is a Matrix Climbmill model. If you haven’t had the opportunity to try one, and get a chance, do it! On a slow setting, within 2 minutes my heart rate was 125, which is a good cardiovascular rate for my age. I did five minutes before calling it, since it has been ten years since I did this type. Back then I did a thousand steps at a time, so I got to work back up to that. IMO the best stair master type available.
  17. Best part of the bird.
  18. I have 3. My favorite is my Mannlicher stock one with a stainless heavy barrel and a 1-4 variable scope.
  19. Nice. I am just bringing my old gear I really haven’t had a chance to use much.
  20. Makes a lot of sense. I have taken to disinfecting my smoker grill separately rather then using initial high heat to do it. That way I can put the food on right away and let it get hit with that heavy start up smoke. Works in my case for pork ribs and pork shoulders. Haven’t tried chicken.
  21. 7 days after SDTF.
