  1. My 2005 Ram still has lever 4 wd. Works great. 107000 miles and counting.
  2. Like I mentioned before, you can get a separate upper and sell or keep the Super SASS upper. It would be a waste to sell it though. It is a beautiful finely built piece of equipment, especially if the SHTF and you need a sniper grade rifle. Sounds like you have a plan.
  3. Oops double posted.
  4. Great place to start. You have a one in ten barrel twist, which it should match up with nicely, and the Game King is right up there in ballistic coefficient for long distance work. I have been using a 165 Grain Sierra BTHP for deer since 1980. Never had to use a second shot. But that was for whitetail, sounds like you may be after Muleys.
  5. I can see it from my front porch.
  6. A University of Minnesota Stall used to have a huge finely detailed drawing of a,greek male statue with no arms and a gigantic schlong. The name? Penis de mile O of course.
  7. A friend was 25 miles out past Outer Island and drilled a hole for ice fishing last weekend. The ice was 32 inches deep! In 30 years that has never happened. We won't see ice out until May.
  8. Oooh! That is choice!

  10. Q: Why didn't the man report his stolen credit card? A: The thief was spending less then his wife.
  11. Any body have anymore?
  12. I thought so as well, untill I drove 70 miles between Ashland and Duluth a few years ago and counted 38 deer carcasses on the side of the road. Keep in mind that Wisconsin is not Idaho. At that time the deer population in Wisconsin was in excess of one million, which is an incredible population density for a wild animal. So the study was probably true for Wisconsin, but it wouldn't be for out west. And if it sounded like I thought it was then I worded it poorly. I just found their results interesting. Plus road traffic in Wisconsin is quite a bit more than in Idaho and Montana. Found this article on line. Definitely supports that wolves are the problem in Idaho. By the way, good luck with your wolf hunt. http://www.examiner.com/article/dealing-with-declining-elk-herds-idaho
  13. Great night sights as well. And with a nitron finished stainless slide and the polycarbonate frame, will still be around after I am long gone.
  14. It can be both a Corvette and a dragster, like this little puppy. Seriously, as nice as it is to have a full gun safe, if you have one rig that can pull double duty, it leaves room and money for other things. Maybe like Corvettes!
  15. SP 2022's rock. Everything good about Sig's but a lot lighter. Despite it's bulk, one of my favorite CC's. Lighter than a Colt Officer Model. Designed to last 20,000 rounds. Wish they came in 45 acp. But 357 Sig is ok except for the ammo price and limited availability. That' s why I have a 40 S and W barrel for it as well.
  16. Those guys put on a clinic about how to track down scammers.
  17. With a lot of the modern forearms with piciatinny rails all the way a round, at least one glove for your fore end hand is almost a necessity, especially with a 308 recoil. Don't like them for detail work with a National Match trigger, though. Train with them some with a pistol just so I am familiar with the feel if need be. Usually just use a pair of unlined buck skin gloves, since they still allow decent sensitivity for trigger let off.
  18. I am guessing that mountain lions get their share of them as well. Funny thing around here they did an assessment of what caused deer mortality, and wolves came in number three. First was coyotes preying on fawns, second was bears preying on fawns, third was wolves preying on both fawns and adults. Bobcats number four, foxes on fawns number five. Number one over all killer however was still cars.
  19. Isn't it nice when some one actually takes your "advice" and kicks some terrorist butt with it?
  20. Mindanao?! Some serious rough country and rough customers.
  21. Sounds like a Sig might be in your future. I am starting to look at a SCAR 17, but my first born doesn't want to be ransomed. Besides, he's too old.
  22. In Wisconsin that usually happens when the hounds get too close to a den with pups. Has happened a fair amount over the last few years. To be honest I am not a big fan of Bear dogs. They have killed a number of domestic pets themselves in our area. Plus they spook all the wildlife in an area when they are being trained. Part of the problem is even in Northern Wisconsin, we don't have the wilderness you have out west in terms of shear size. So conflicts are going to happen.
  23. Happy St. patricks Day from Paddy O'Furniture.
