  1. That is a Jaguar. Best camo of any big cat. Wow!
  2. Now they are talking about shipping tar sands oil and shale oil via the great lakes. One spill would take out one of the Great Lakes, maybe more if it was upstream. Insane.

    Grilling

Down to my last four steaks from our cow we bought last year. I have the butcher cut them 1 1/2 - 2 inches thick for the T Bones.. Each one weighs in around 30 ounces. Next time I grill I will take a picture of the monsters. Got another whole bessie on order.
  4. I think UBR its gonna be.
  5. My next truck is that new Ram Diesel 1500 anyway. 28mpg overall with 9000 lb towing capacity., but Fords point is they have to meet Mpg guidelines, and weight equals more fuel.
  6. An interesting map of where the population of the United States, is not! Green has no people. http://m.theatlanticcities.com/neighborhoods/2014/04/map-all-places-us-where-nobody-lives/8910/
  7. A Lucid Red Dot for the AR10T I just got.

    Vapor trails

If you want chemicals in the atmosphere you don't need a plane. All you need is an incinerator with a decent sized smokestack. We have bigger problems believe it or not. Look at some projections on natural resource availability after the year 2035. That's when the SHTF will really happen worldwide. Even conservative physical scientists are suggesting a worldwide population decline due to a shortage of food and other resources. I am not gonna worry about a few more chemicals, we dump them by the tons into the atmosphere every day as it is. I am going to worry about my son and his descendants surviving if I am going to worry at all.
  9. Another very knowledgable friend suggested that. I will check it out.
  10. After looking at the weight, I am not so sorry I missed on it. I might have put in on my AR10A4 instead. I think I am going to keep the AR10T carbine compact. Might go for the Ergo F93 instead. Or even keep the A2 stock for now. Optics are a higher priority. I think I will go for something in the 2-6 or 2-7x variable range. That lets me cover from close to 400++ yards. I already have the AR10 rifle set up with a 4x16 Nikon Monarch, so I think I will keep this one close to midrange. If I change my mind I can always swap the Nikon onto it.
  11. Nah.. It is overrated, consider moving to New York or Conneticut, any where but Idaho. You wouldn't like it. Hunting and fishing is too easy, right out your doorstep. You need more challenge, like trying to find a good rifle range in New York City. With a freezer full of fish and game, you get lazy, and very very picky as to what you will shoot. Nah, you don't want to consider Idaho. Plus everybody is live and let live. How do you get into a good arguement? (Except DPMS vs Armalite vs KAC as to which is better, that's good for an arguement anywhere). Plus they get winter, but its not an insane winter like the Northern Great Plains. Man i better stop, I am convincing myself.
  12. Man, keep it secret! You want the whole country moving there? Seriously wife is from there it is a great place. Best I have seen in the US. Just can't talk her into moving back.
  13. No better scent. All the memories.
  14. A Honda enema
  15. I would seriously think about the Asheville NC area. I am thinking about that myself. I am sick of winter.
  16. Or was that a Cowasaki? Can't remember what the dealer said.
  17. For future reference, Armalite said it would be a direct exchange with no modifications necessary, as I had the A2 stock. Unfortunately the PRS I was looking at was a closeout for nearly half price, and it was gone by this morning. So I missed it. No one but myself to blame.

    First Pig

Congratulations! That is my goal, but I gotta travel to find some wild pigs, too many pork loving predators around here. I have cooked some florida shot wild pig. Worked pretty well. I brined it with a cup of salt to two gallons of water for 24 hours. Then plan on slow cooking it like you would a pork shoulder. I usually sear the meat then cook it in a covered roaster, coated with BBQ sauce, for up to 14 hours at 225 degrees. The brining adds moisture to the meat and makes up for the lack of fat. Slow cooking breaks down the connective tissue. Covering it retains the moisture. Give it a try and let me know how it works.
  19. Nah, they are teaching us, we just don't know it until its too late.
  20. On a bad day sometimes you need a few Step 5's.
  21. Thank you for your help gentlemen. Like I said, now the fun begins. Looking forward to customizing it, and learning some new things as well. Thinking about investigating Melonite coating for the barrel. I have a Sig pistol with a similar coating on the slide and it is indestructible and a low visual signature. Right now that stainless barrel jumps out at you.
  22. Welcome from another southpaw.

    Newsflash!

A big congratulations, have you started a build for him yet? Maybe with an adjustable stock as he grows.
  24. Thanks R squared
  25. I have heard the Nikon mount sucked that is why I am thinking LaRue. I have the Nikon Monarch 4x16 on my AR10A4, with a RRA mount, and that works well.I will check out the Vortex. Another question. I am thinking of getting a Magpul PRS, I don't know with the AR10T carbine which currently has the A2 stock, if I need to replace the extension tube, recoil spring and buffer assembly or not. Got a email into Armalite tech support on that one. Anybody know the answer? GM thanks for the PSA heads up.
