  3. The 930 is badass First 5 federal 2 3/4 lead slugs at 50 yards without TOUCHING the sights
  4. So true. 70 is in my rear view mirror in four months. I am doing five miles a day now. Averaging 14,000 steps a day on the fitbit. But Don’t think I could do 26 even with 9 months to train.
  5. SRV, one of the best. Just picked up an Epiphone Les Paul Classic. See if I can find a pic of my Dads Epiphone electric from 1936.

  7. This in .40 or 9mm. Or a comparable Springfield XD. Around kids I would get the model with a safety just for added assurance. https://palmettostatearmory.com/s-w-m-p-m2-0-shield-40-s-w-pistol-w-crimson-trace-laser-11674.html?trk_msg=6LUMDB46K2L4RBGBQ4F8CFG0VG&trk_contact=TMB09D54MSPKAEL8RKIKIHF6AO&trk_sid=8JUOPOM10UR20H75P2CT0QMQLO&utm_source=Listrak&utm_medium=email&utm_term=https%3a%2f%2fpalmettostatearmory.com%2fs-w-m-p-m2-0-shield-40-s-w-pistol-w-crimson-trace-laser-11674.html&utm_campaign=Daily+Deal+Email&utm_content=12%3a00+Email

    Fishing last summer.

Caught 15 whitefish and a burbot two days ago. Going out Saturday again. For Lake Trout and Brown Trout. Son in pic
  9. Good stuff. “The night they tore Old Dixie down”. One of my favorites. Every time I drive through Tennessee and Alabama I find myself playing that . “Virgil Caine is the name, I served on the Danville train, till Stoneman’s calvary came and tore up the tracks again.” Just a great song by the Band.

Next summer about this time c’mon up. Got an extra bed, got the boat, got the fishing gear. We got 15 yesterday. It slows down after the Mayfly hatch, which is pretty soon.

    Hello!!

Welcome, Had my right eye go bad from a punch when I was 17. So I had to learn to shoot left handed. With practice, my left eye became dominant, or at least equal to my right eye. So practice, practice. I am down there most the winter. Some nice ranges there.
  13. All this work to get a 7.62x39 lookalike!🤣 I-know that is over simplification, but I couldn’t help it!

  18. A friend who is a vocalist shared this meaningful moment with me. As a singer I sing at many funerals & I was recently asked by a funeral director to play & sing at a graveside service for a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper's cemetery out in the country. As I was not familiar with the area, I got lost. I finally arrived an hour late and saw that the funeral guy had evidently gone and the hearse was nowhere in sight. There were only the diggers and crew left and they were eating lunch. I felt badly and apologized to the men for being late. I went to the side of the grave and looked down and the vault lid was already in place. I didn’t know what else to do, so I started to play. The workers put down their lunches and began to gather around. I played out my heart and soul for this man with no family and friends. I sang like I’ve never played before for this homeless man. As I sang & played “Amazing Grace”, the workers began to weep. They wept, I wept, we all wept together. When I finished, I packed up my keyboard and started for my car. Though my head hung low, my heart was full. As I opened the door to my car, I heard one of the workers say, “I’ve never seen nothin’ like that before and I’ve been putting in septic tanks for twenty years.” Apparently, I’m still lost….

Red, when your Weber wears out, look for one of these. It is the most amazing charcoal grill/smoker/oven I have found. I have seen them as low as $229 in Florida. With the optional smoking stone you can smoke meat as good as a traditional smoker. Similar in concept to the Big Green Egg, but 1/3 the price. https://www.chargriller.com/collections/kamado-grills/products/akorn-20-kamado-6719

Funny you should say that Red, A minute after the picture, ,that “well seasoned grill” caught fire! I had to push the steak around to avoid it. I had brushed it hard, but the last thing I had cooked on it was smoking a 14 pound brisket, and all the residual carbonized fat finally went up. Was 900 degrees when I snuffed it. I was wondering if I would get to the melting point of the cast iron grate! It is completely bare now!
