Wore no clothes whatsoever in a place where the temperature is rarely above 50F. Covered themselves with seal blubber to dive in the near freezing waters to harvest mussels and Atlantic King Crab. All dead now due to disease and persecution. Darwin and John Malthus both knew where we were headed a long time ago.

We can disagree on the reasons, but the climate is changing and that is a fact.

Don’t get me started on the science of it, climate change is real. Any time you pump billions of gallons of melted ice into the oceans, you are going to get a rebound effect in parts of the globe. Central North America and Eurasia could end up being colder, as well as northern europe because of the slowing of the north atlantic heat pump. The gulf stream, and a few other currents. Its real and it is too late to do much about it. Wait until the starvation migrations start. And I am not joking. Probably by 2050. Enough doom and gloom. How about those Patriots?

Probably so. Big Money corrupts. The Portugese island of Madeira has an interesting approach. Heavy drug users , dealers or general criminals are put on a plane off the island, they are not let back in again, period. 250,000 people on an island 25 miles by 25 miles square. Little or no crime. 400 miles off the coast of Morocco.

I spent a week in Portugal last year. Including,some late nights in Lisbon. Got approached to buy drugs, but never felt in danger. When I said no they turned around and left.

Update: Now that the opportunity has presented itself and my body has healed a year and a half removed from all my surgeries, I started serious weight training in November. No big weights, staying at a max 200 pounds x 10 reps x 4 sets on the bench presses, and all the other exercises in proportion. Also at 70 have resumed training in Uechi-ryu. As a concession to my age, I no longer spar, but concentrate on katas and in-fighting exercises. The PT definitely has helped my handgun accuracy. My grip on that pistol is solid, even the 44 Magnum. I am shooting a minimum of once a week. Finally getting all the shooting I want!

My issue was sacrificing pinpoint accuracy at a distance. Not an issue in combat situations most likely, where they have specialized rifles for that and top of the line EOS and other brands. I like the use of them close up, 100 yards and less, but at 200 and up, I found the dot completely covering the bulls eye. My solution, which I am happy with, is the PA 1x6 with the lighted recticle. At 1x lit up, it makes a passable red dot, but can be jacked up to 6x for distance shooting, with a very usable BDC reticle to boot. Works for me on my AR10T carbine.

Yeah, Federal ammo had a very bad rep in Minneapolis, where it was manufactured back then. It was also a lot cheaper then Winchester and Remington at the time. That spot on the bottom rung has been taken now by HSM. Though I found some good HSM moly match a few years back.
