  1. $110!!! I just don't know if I'd be better off with a QD and offset rail pieces instead, or QD on both the scope + holographic. And they only have the 1 inch in black, not fde dangit
  2. damn only 865 for the 458 socom upper complete? Hmmm
  3. duh, sorry http://www.midwayusa.com/product/615614/blemished-bullets-30-caliber-308-diameter-160-grain-flexible-polymer-tip-spitzer-box-of-100-bulk-packaged?cm_cat=CheckoutConfirm&cm_pla=ProductDescrip
  4. yeah, you're right. and the price is good as well, $22/100

Those are Sid Bell pewter ones. http://sidbelloriginals.com/?pn=Pistol+Grips++Eagle%2DEagle&cn=1911+Pistol+Grips&p=621&c=27 heavy, and a little on the thick side (particularly since I have the Pearce rubber finger grips on under em). But they feel good, and super solid. And the carving gives plenty of grip. we'll see how it shoots at the range maybe next weekend. I may end up wanting to sell them since i'm a little iffy as to whether they are too thick for actual shooting. Probably are for my wife + daughters to shoot (oh darn) but I think they'll be fine for me. I bought the gun wanting to use it for 3 gun competitions though, so if there is any iffness i'll go back to the wood.
  6. I know people have talked about the .338 lapua, and the parts are available to do that, but i'm not sure what larger than that.
  7. yeah, I found a cool site with pretty good info on building the hydraulic one with easy parts but right now RCBS has a rebate deal, where any purchase over $50 gets you a free box of 100 bullets. so even at $60 for the tool, a box of bullets is worth half that roughly

    Here's my new grips
  9. yeah, seemed like at least a decent deal, and berdan primers were all i've been able to find at less than $100 a box of 1000. the initial decapping after firing will suck but after that should be good
  10. yeah, I figure i'm trying to do the 165s as my standard, but found the 160 with polymer tip cheap and not sure whether to get them or not.
  11. Not too bad, of course a year ago $200 shipped would have been high for that.
  12. After being married this long, I know which ones she won't find funny so don't bother. And I have the complete joy of her being an odd sort of woman, she never asks what i'm thinking or what i'm laughing about. Thank god sometimes.
  13. Found some at a decent price, not sure whether they are a good choice or not
  14. I'm not sure, you can call and ask
  15. I went with "roll my own" with a dpms upper, but sort of wish I had gone with a Fulton side charging
  16. Went to a small gun show today, figuring it might be a little more realistic than the big ones. Ha! Federal 22lr 525 boxes for $110, MAK90s for $950 and plenty of other stupidity. Found one reasonable seller and grabbed 150 rounds of .45 acp for $100, and 2 metal ammo cans for $50 for the 2. Even the military surplus brass berdan primed 762 nato was at least $1 a round, as high as $1.50 a round. bastards.
  17. I have one, still haven't fired it yet. my lower should finally be shipping within the next week though

I saw some spalted persimmon grips that were awesome, and already sold :( I'll put up a pic of my new ones monday/tuesday. The grips came today but waiting on other bits :)
  19. not too bad pricewise (pretty bad) $150-175, but available in FDE :)
  20. I was (after that other thread on mounts) looking at the Warne R.A.M.P. mounts. cantalever style (not qd though) with offset rails on both sides
  21. What about the Warne rings? they guarantee return to zero.
  22. Figure you're close to halfway, but not quite
  23. I had high hopes too
