that doesn't sound too bad. figure its 140 for the upper stripped, add 20 for the parts, and at least 300 for a good bull barrel. add in for barrel nut, etc (you including gas block, delta ring, handguard?) and you hit there easily enough.
particularly if you are looking for it to be a long range rifle, avoid blackthorne. You don't have to go super high dollar to get good results, but $300 for a complete upper should make you worry about how poorly its made.
this one seems legitimate

but this one

even though its listed as "new condition" doesn't state anything about warranty. So it might be either a refurb or a grey market one.
this one although open box, does state full manufacturer warranty, so its the cheapest believable one

sometimes the cheaper ones are ok, and you can even buy the add on warranty to them.
There are basically 2 ways they do that. One is that they are selling refurb units and claiming them as new, which happens. The other is that they are "grey market" products - ones that although are the same model # in general are not meant for US distribution. So they come in from Asia or South America. The big issue with those is that although they will say "full warranty", the warranty is serviced out of the country that the product is meant for, not the US. So you'd be forced to ship internationally for warranty work. Even so, a $400 variance seems enormous unless you are looking at a $2000 + receiver.
And it was reasonably related, how often does anyone talk about berdan primers at all? but there is a bunch of cheap 762 nato once fired brass out there
I was thinking that for when I get around to a 300 blackout build myself. If the PRI Delta (the triangular one) came in a 15, i'd use that for sure, would be a great look.
a few pounds of powder, some brass, some bullets and some berdan primers since they are the only damn ones I can find in stock. Can't wait for the next gun show, hopefully get some there.
